1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Just for Fun - What Time Do You Live In Most

Just thinking about the fact that for most of my life I have focused on TOMORROW, looking for Jesus to come. Then I thought about these songs and the irony of tunes named for TODAY, TOMORROW, and YESTERDAY. Where are your thoughts most often? I am learning to enjoy TODAY more than I have in the past, but TOMORROW is always in my mind too. Learned the hard way that it is a waste of time to look back to YESTERDAY. It's gone and cannot be changed. We can't go back there. Forget yesterday, enjoy today, and look forward to tomorrow. Soon we will be where time will be no more and not measured, just enjoyed.

These are secular songs but nice.

"TODAY" by John Denver & The New Christy Minstrels

Gee Kathy, I think you are trying to tell me something. Hhmmm...???? (Jeopardy theme plays in background). I got it Alex, "What is the time that Kathy chose from the list above?"

"Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow, you're only a day away"

Texas Sue & Kathy G, Very Good, Thanks so much.

Yesterday is History, Tomorrow may never be ours, Today is all that we have.

Today will become Yesterday, Tomorrow will become Today, and Today will be all that we have.

Love this Song, & the Lyrics

One Day at a Time,

I'm Living in "Today", the Present.

LOL! I thought you might get a kick out of the videos from the 1982 movie and its soundtrack. I like it, myself. =)

And I strongly suspect that Valerie will get a kick out of this video. It's the same song that she posted above.

Valeri, T/Sue & Kathy--

Loved all your above posted songs!!!

As for me, you may have to add "Yesterday", "Just A spoonful Of Sugar (Makes The Medicine Go Down)" & "Memories", because...

Yesterday, which was Mother's Day, I met this couple that bought my brother's white 2011 Chevy Pick-Up Truck. The man, himself, brought back those happy memories of our times we once lived in a small town called, La Sierra, CA.

Not only did he once attend the same Adventist school I attended: his parents owned this hamburger stand that I frequented alot; b/c they sold "the" most scrumptious vegeburgers, fries & chocolate shakes in the world! T0 me, they far outweighed both McDonalds & Burger King, put together!!! Yum!!!

Also, it was in La Sierra, that I got my first horse, a very sweet little 12-year old mare named Lady (Lady Bug, to me). Met my newest best friend, Jenny, who also pastured her bay Quarterhorse gelding, Rebel, in the same pasture Lady was pastured...for which we also became constant riding companions. It's also where we (Jenny & me) got our Polio Vaccine dosages on a large sugar cube. And where I got baptized in the Adventist church.

So you see--we may not be able to correct the past, but we can reminicse about our happy memories, can we not!?

Maranatha!
