1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

wife found a bug....
Re: wife found a bug....

Very funny Steve. Reminds me of a situation one day when my teen daughters called me at work. They had found a huge spider in the bathroom and were scared silly. I left work immediately and rushed home because I knew we could not sleep in that house with the spider wandering around in it.

The bathroom was at the end of a narrow hallway. I was armed with a can of Raid in one hand and the broom in the other. I intended to spray and beat it to death using both hands in sync. I would spray and hit and scream and the girls were behind me in the hall jumping and screaming. I am sure the neighbors must have thought we were being killed. I finally finished him off though.

Was I scared? Terrified! But there was no other way to go but a fight to the death with that big ole jumping spider. He was as big as a small teacup and had those bent legs that jumping spiders have. If I could have covered it with something and taped it down I would have. I just was too scared to get close enough to do that. So when I saw that picture did I burst out laughing!!!! Reminded me of that afternoon battle a few years back.
