Victory for Elementary School Girl's Religious Liberty







An elementary girl wanted to draw Baby Jesus on a Christmas Ornament, but was told not to and it ended up with her Bible being taken away from her and she was told she could not discuss the Bible or Religion during non-instructional time. The ACLJ (American Center For Law & Justice) defends those who have had their constitutional rights stripped away just for being a Christian. Pray for these brave men and women who defend our freedom of religion.

Julie,Thanks for sharing. I'm so happy for this victory. I thank God for Christian men and women whom will stand up for their rights, freedoms, of sharing, and freely practicing their faith, without fear of retribution. We should pray for these people, and for more Christians to stand up boldly for their rights, especially in a country that was founded on In God we Trust.

Perhaps more Christian Americans, should use the following, which this ACLJ used below, to change things in their part of the country.

"Fair Use For Information & Discussion Purposes"

"On February 7, 2014, we sent a letter to the principal of the school demanding that the school cease its illegal actions and allow the student to exercise her First Amendment Rights, including discussing the Bible and religion, during non-instructional time. We cited to several Supreme Court of the United States cases including Tinker v. Des Moines Indep. Cmty. Sch. Dist., 393 U.S. 503 (1969) and Capitol Square Review & Advisory Bd. v. Pinette, 515 U.S. 753 (1995). We also attached the U.S. Department of Education Guidelines on “Constitutionally Protected Prayer in Public Elementary and Secondary Schools.”

In response to our demands, the attorney representing the school sent us a letter on February 12, 2014, in which he stated the following: “Please consider this a written assurance that the school will not prevent [the student] from exercising any of her constitutional rights or otherwise participating in constitutionally protected activity, including the discussion of the Bible and religion as allowed by law.”

May they always be victorious, and may God receive all the Honor & Glory.

Hope you folks watched Huckabee this weekend on FoxNews!?!

For former Arkansas Govenor Mike Huckabee (also a Christian) touched on this very topic on his program.

I think that he may have been a Minister of an Arkansas church at one time.

Julie, what Gov. Huckabee discussed, was about bullying by the far left & that homosexual group (I can't remember what they call themselves ). He was talking to two women.
