1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

One Who Came Back From Heaven

A wonderful man of God who has graduated to heaven now, once said that one age doesn't just end abruptly and another one begin but one bleeds over into another. He said that before the church age ends some will go to heaven and come back with reports, some by near death and others just called up by the Lord. They will be like the 12 spies in the wilderness whom Moses sent into Canaan for a report on the promised land. This is one of those who went over by near death and came back with a report about Jesus, heaven, the angels and the devils.

I started reading this book yesterday and it is so terrific. I have an endless appetite for wanting to know what heaven is like since it is our forever home. Found the book at our local used book store and it is an easy, quick read. I finished half of it in just a few hours last night. Here is a link to the website and a quote from it about Alex Malarky.

FAIR USE FOR INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION PURPOSES

http://theboywhocamebackfromheaven.com

In 2004, Kevin Malarkey and his six-year-old son, Alex, suffered a horrific car accident. The impact from the crash paralyzed Alex —and medically speaking, it was unlikely that he could survive. “I think that Alex has gone to be with Jesus,” a friend told the stricken dad. But two months later, Alex awoke from a coma with an incredible story to share. Of events at the accident scene and in the hospital while he was unconscious. Of the unearthly music that sounded just terrible to a six-year-old. Of the angels who took him through the gates of Heaven itself. And, most amazing of all…of meeting and talking to Jesus. The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven is the true story of an ordinary boy’s most extraordinary journey. As you see Heaven and earth through Alex’s eyes, you’ll come away with new insights on miracles, life beyond this world, and the power of a father’s love. - See more at:http://theboywhocamebackfromheaven.com/#sthash.bEYsZIOA.dpuf

Re: One Who Came Back From Heaven

Sue,

I purchased the CDs for the kids when we drive in the car. It's a pretty awesome story and a scary trial to envision oneself having to endure. The Malarkeys are a blessing to us through their testimony allowing us to 'peer behind the curtain'.

Regards and God bless you

Re: One Who Came Back From Heaven

Damian I was so blessed reading this. As wonderful as his descriptions of heaven were the accounts by his dad of the many Christian believers gathering around him and the family to provide prayer as well as practical support for all of their needs. This is the true operation of the body of Christ. When one member suffers, all suffer; when one rejoices, all rejoice.

I also loved the story of Colton Burpo, the little boy who had the misdiagnosed ruptured appendix at the age of 4. During the worst time of what would have been horrible pain and suffering, he was sitting in the lap of Father God or walking around with Jesus, sung to by the angels. Can anyone read these and have the tiniest doubt about the goodness and kindness of God?
