It’s likely the world in the not-so-distant future will be increasingly populated by computerized people like Amal Graafstra.

The 37-year-old doesn’t need a key or password to get into his car, home or computer. He’s programmed them to unlock at the mere wave of his hands, which are implanted with radio frequency identification tags. The rice-size gadgets work so well, the Seattle resident says, he’s sold similar ones to more than 500 customers through his company Dangerous Things.

The move to outfit people with electronic devices that can be swallowed, implanted in their bodies or attached to their skin via “smart tattoos” could revolutionize health care and change the way people interact with devices and one another. Critics call the trend intrusive, even sacrilegious.

But others say it ultimately will make life better for everybody. Some researchers and executives envision a day when devices placed in people will enable them to control computers, prosthetic devices and many other things solely with their thoughts.

“In the next 10 to 20 years we will see rapid development in bioengineered and man-machine interfaces,” predicted Graafstra, who wrote a book about the technology, adding that the trend is going to “push the boundaries of what it means to be human.”

Many large technology companies and researchers are keenly interested in the topic.

In a patent application made public in November, Google’s Motorola Mobility branch proposed an “electronic skin tattoo” for the throat — with a built-in microphone, battery and wireless transceiver — that would let someone operate other devices via voice commands.

Oh, boy! [groan]

Lucy, I don't think so, for that's purely science fiction stuff; like the kind of thing you see in those secular Hollywood-type movies. When ever I hear about that kind a nonsense, I simply roll my eyes heavenward & shake my head.

What with our rapture, the horrendous Tribulation Period, Jesus' millennial reign on earth for which He rules the world with a rod of iron, Great White Throne Judgment, destroying the world & universe, and then we (Christ's bride) living on our newly recreated earthly home for an eternity that will have no end.

During the T.P., God will wreck all kinds of havoc here on earth...hence throwing the world into utterly (not udder) complete chaos for the AC & his minions. As well as protecting our fellow baby Christians whom come to Christ during this period, for which they'll be given a special kind of mark on their foreheads so that they'll be able recognize their fellow Christians.

Just read the Book of Revelation. OK!?

I have read revelation, I'm not sure the point you were trying to make?
were you trying to say that there wont be time for such things during the tribulation period, as the world will be in total chaos and will be hit by one natural disaster after another and wars? Perhaps you are right, maybe there wont be time for such things, or if it gets instituted, it won't be for long because all the destruction, don't know.

However Tammy, you may be surprised, but a lot of what may seem like science fiction,Is today reality and companies truly are working hard to advance such things. Maybe these technologies are not available for mass consumption yet, but they are there. I don't believe certain things will get as far they want it to get, like is wanted in the trans-humanism movement. In which they want us to become post humans and be almost like cyborgs or something,However micro-chipping humans has been taking place for quite sometime. And its a very real technology that can be adapted into the beast system. I'm not all together sure yet that temporary tattoos and the microchips will be the actual mark of the beast, but it could be, or maybe just be part of the beast system. After all be the Chaos and disaster be man made, by wars or By God himself. It is the Endgame the elites want, so they can more easily control the people that are left. The emergence of this new technology, seems very real to me and not something we should all together dismiss, because i believe they will try to somehow make it essential and needed for us to be chipped, if not chipped then some other newer technologies. I have even heard of human barcodes, it reminds me of the jews in Germany being branded with numbers.

Anyway, I don't see it a difficult thing for the masses to comply with such regulations. After all you have people like the ones in Miami who willingly took 666 tattoos on their bodies per request of their pastor who declares himself to be Jesus, not only did they brand their own bodies! but to my horror those of their children!! That's crazy talk to me!!

Lucy, I agree with you, much of the technology exists today, and some of it has been put into practices already. It states in the Bible :

These are the times that were written about, in which we live in right now.

And global communication today has man traveling at the speed of light. The information age has placed anything you want to know just a click away, and what used to take years to research is available in seconds to virtually anyone! As a popular search engine touts in commercials, “No one wants to look dumb.”

It took men 160 years to produce a steam engine that worked, from concept to completion a couple of centuries ago. But the nuclear bomb was built in just 6 years a few decades ago, and today’s tech inventions flow from paper to prototype in days, and mass production in weeks!

You’d have to be blind not to see it. The knowledge explosion has been going on for more than a century, and is only increasing in speed, and the Bible says this all will lead to Jesus’ explosion onto the end times scene.

Now, knowledge doesn’t make us any better people. Our society is still in kindergarten morally. Educating someone’s mind without changing their heart only adds pride to their already sin filled resume.

Another verse you may have never thought about is...

In 1948 Israel was again established as a nation, and the dispersed Jews have been returning to Israel by the hundreds of thousands (just as the Bible predicted would happen before Christ returns)

Add to that these facts: That the cashless society is nearly a done deal / that you’ve heard of more earthquakes in your lifetime than the previous 500 years put together! / 70% of all medicines known to man have been invented in YOUR lifetime / 90% of all the scientists who have ever lived...are alive today!


We used to wonder how everyone on earth could see the bodies of the 2 witnesses lying in the streets in Revelation, but everyone will see it online or on TV, replayed over and over again. Just as surely as we were on the front lines watching the shock and awe of Operation Iraqi Freedom a few years ago, the knowledge explosion of transportation and technology is ready to give the world a front row view to the end of the world...but it won’t be entertainment, it will be horror beyond imagination!

If you are old enough to get a discount at restaurants, then you’ve seen in your lifetime the divorce rate go from 1 in 8 to what it is today where divorces outnumber marriages every year / crime rate increase by over 500% / birth of the church of Satan in 1969, which has been granted tax exempt status by the US government / one-world government begin to be formed…the new world order / one-world church…ecumenical movement / unprecedented increases in famines, natural disasters, incurable diseases / there’s an intensity building up, an expectancy is in the air…
…but as believers, we need not run around w/ headline hysteria, we are to simply look up, for our redemption draweth nigh! We are to faithfully and patiently wait for our Savior, who will soon come bursting thru the blue w/ the sound of a trumpet, in the twinkling of an eye.
When the Bible says that, it means in a millisecond, in an instant…therefore, when the rapture occurs, if you’re not saved, there will not be time to get saved, it will be too late for you.

If you are a Christian, and not living for God, there will be no time to make it right. Your salvation is secure, but will you be ashamed when He comes? You won’t be able to ask Him to wait…

Wow Valerie! Thanks for that article, it was very insightful. I agree with what was said in it, about things being done a lot faster. what used to take years, takes months and what took months now weeks or days. Its really amazing! Also what I said before,about not believing that things probably wont get as far as they wish. What I meant, was that I don't believe they will be allowed the time to do so, I think Jesus is coming to save this world not just from evil and sin but from ourselves as well, when he says if he did not cut days short no flesh would be saved. I believe its not just about peoples personal salvation and the wrath he will pour out, but I also believe that if the days would not be cut short, men would keep inventing things that would hurt or alter humanity. I think if man was given the time we would be amazed at how much science fiction would become science fact.

If you have never heard of the trans-humanisim movement or post human as they call it, the ideas in these peoples minds are crazy!!! Yet they are respected in their field and called genius by some. Then we also have Genetically Modified foods, and mad scientists working in other ways to alters human Genome. Its actually kinda crazy. there are so many things to consider with life here on earth, there are so many reasons I want Jesus to come.
