1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

The baptism, indwelling of the Holy Spirit- Pastor JD

Fair Use for Information and Discussion Purposes

On Friday, Pastor JD was teaching out of 1Samuel. At about 44:00, he begins to teach about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Thank the Lord Jesus forever that He asked the Father to give the comforter and intercessor to us.
In addition to salvation, ask God the Father to give you the baptism/indwelling of His Holy Spirit.

God bless you

Romans Chapter 8
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it].
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.

1Cor 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

The Holy Spirit Received at Ephesus

1It happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper country and came to Ephesus, and found some disciples. 2He said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" And they said to him, "No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." 3And he said, "Into what then were you baptized?" And they said, "Into John's baptism."…

Re: The baptism, indwelling of the Holy Spirit- Pastor JD

This was a good sermon. I struggle every day with this. It is not easy.

I like when he shared stepping out in the will of God and then everything went wrong, yet he still kept going.Just goes to show us that we really don't see our life. Only God sees our life in full.

Re: The baptism, indwelling of the Holy Spirit- Pastor JD

A big AMEN to that Bob.
Just because life looks dark doesn't mean we are doing the wrong thing.
We are to be lights in the darkness. Where is light noticeable the most? In a dark place.
Amen. We don't see our lives like God does

God bless you
