1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Hope in God's word: Psalm 84 & Isaiah 26

Fair Use for Information and Discussion Purposes
Use Your Discernment

Good morning all! Wish I could pour you all some tea or coffee and have a discussion face to face! This morning I was thinking about the Lord's return, wondering again about how it might play out and wondering about His work in people before He comes. And what about after, what will become of people.
These two places came to mind so I looked them up. Use your discernment, but please have a look.

I wondered about Psalm 83, that is, is it a condition of ranting against Israel (which is happening now) or does it turn into war. I reread it and felt God wanted me to look at what comes next, Psalm 84

King James Bible, the color is added by me

1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.} How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
Imagine how wonderful to live with those who love God, all the time. How amiable are thy tabernacles O Lord of hosts!

2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. This is where we are, so wanting the Lord to return. Our hearts are in unity with the saints of old.

3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.

4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. We know that where we live ultimately is up to the Lord God. Without Him we would have and be nothing. The birds are totally dependant upon God. so are we. so is Israel though they haven't figured that out yet. God will reveal to them. We can say in agreement with the psalmist, Blessed are they that dwell in THY house. Come bring us home with You Lord. We want home with You and to live with YOUR family.

5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. Though passing through a valley, we can pray for the filling of the spirit, and seek washing with the word of God. Strongs says that word for the valley of Baca comes from Bakah, meaning weeping. So though they go through a valley of weeping, yet a well of refreshing is made while passing through. So I believe that Israel is about to go through a valley of weeping, but refreshing will be found in the wellspring from the Lord Himself. This is my understanding. For your discernment.

7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. God knows every person, every one of them in Zion appears before Him. He does know everyone. Could this though be a reference to raptured saints? The saints appearing before Him in a heavenly Zion? Just asking because the thought crossed my mind. Every one of them in Zion appears before God

8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Amen. a day in His courts is something so wonderful, I can hardly wait. come get us Lord Jesus, there is nowhere to rather be than with You in the courts of God

Then these curious verses in Isaiah 26,
Could this be reference to the rapture and coming trouble
(the time of Jacob's trouble)?
1In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. when we are saved, literally with the Lord because of the raising of the dead in Christ and we who are alive and remain joining them in the air, going to the home of God, then salvation will truly be like a wall and bulwark, we will be saved with a barrier made by God that shields us from His judgement and shields us from the time of Jacob's trouble. Maybe this verse is hope for the land of Judah and talking about a greater salvation.

2Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. Who is a righteous nation folks? Nobody thats who. Nobody is righteous except those forgiven by God Almighty. How does that happen? Only by asking the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus cover our sins. I think the righteous nation is the redeemed. One day soon Israel will return to their living God and forsake idols. They will forsake trust in themselves and other nations. When the rapture occurs and the two witnesses come, 144,000 witness, Israel will realize the betrayal of the nations and the faithfulness of God. The gates of heaven are opened and the righteous nation (I think maybe this is the rapture) will enter in. After the rapture, as the remnant of Jacob/Israel returns to God, they enter into peace and redemption, see verse 3 below

3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

5For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

6The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. There is destruction coming, even to the dust. The judgements of Revelation are coming

7The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.

8Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

9With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Are we desiring the Lord, even in our waking moments at night? In our dark troubled times are we seeking Him to be our salvation? Our defender? For wisdom? I think this verse is talking about the time of Jacob's trouble, the final 7 years, aka Gabriel's prophecy to Daniel of the 70th week, because when God's JUDGEMENTs are in the earth, the "inhabitants of the world" (that is not the church) will learn righteousness. We know it is not the church/bride of Christ, because the bride of Christ has been learning righteousness from the Lord and the Bible before the time of Jacob's trouble

10Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.

11LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.

12LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

Maranatha! We are looking up and to YOU LORD JESUS. come back soon

He has very interesting information about Psalm 83! Infact, he calls Psalm 83 & Ezekiel 38 a matching pair of bookends--prophecywise. So please *DO* check him out! OK!?!
