1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

   For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Robin, we don't know what is ahead of us before we meet the Lord, only that He will be with us through it. Not every Christian faced the lions or the inquisition or reformation fires, or else there would be no Christians left. The only time that all will be away is when the gathering to meet the Lord in the air occurs, and then there will be a wave of fearing God and repentance, converts to the testimony of the two witnesses and 144,000.

We pray Robin, we don't have any power but the power of calling on God for His help and will to be done. It is beyond horrible what people will do to other people over greed, powerlust, wickedness, idolatry. What is happening there in Egypt is wickedness. Support for unrighteous rulers is wickedness.
One day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This am, I read briefly in Revelation. There is a part that says
in Rev 15
1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

This struck me Robin, that we are looking at "3D" scenes and hearing voices that have depth and accent to them, on the flat pages of the Bible. Look at what is said...
The wrath of God is in those final plagues. It (the wrath) comes out from where? It comes from "the tabernacle of the testimony". Pure angels, clothed in pure and white linen pour out this wrath, not evil angels. What causes God to be so angry that His wrath is poured out? What has been testified to, what is in the tabernacle of the testimony.

Robin, what you have seen and others have seen of the horrors of Egypt, Syria and elsewhere may be written in that tabernacle as testimony about the actions of the unrepentant enemies of God. Repentant sinners are covered under the sacrifice of Jesus; the unrepentant have no covering. Their sins are manifest.
The weapons of our warfare are spiritual. We turn to God in prayer.

Dear Father in heaven, be glorified, hallowed be Your name.
We come to You in Jesus name because You are the only source of comfort to survivors of atrocities. We pray to You to pour out Your Holy Spirit on the people of Egypt and the people of Syria that they will recognize You, bow to You, and be healed. Please provide provision for the survivors.
Please strengthen, comfort, heal our family in Christ who are imprisoned for Your sake. Take the children out of harms way we ask. Protect our family in Christ, please. The time of Your poured out wrath is not yet. We pray for the salvation of millions more, as many as possible to be saved.

There is so much more that could be prayed, I just want to encourage prayer as believers. Pray because our Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit, God the Father are the hope of the world. Those pictures are testimony to the fruit of wickedness.
The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be upon you.
