1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

   For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

We have nothing to fear when we are in right relationship with God through the work of His Son Jesus. Even when we lose our life (as man has died since the fall), He is able to give us life again. He has the power to give eternal life beyond what we know now on this earth in time. He IS the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They are alive forevermore in the presence of God. He is the God of the living. Hallelujah.

From spaceweather today:SIGNIFICANT FLARE: Sunspot AR1818 erupted on August 17th at 1824 UT, producing a long duration M3-class solar flare. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the action:

From the biblewheel, a search of 1824, the time number of when the flare happened, turns up the event when blood was applied to the doorposts of the children of Israel when in Egypt, passover, before deliverance from Pharoah into freedom. I don't claim to understand the number and letter relationships in the written word, but do find them intreging. This is such a case given what Israel and the church of Jesus are now going through and being under increasing threat from those who hate them.

Tammy, Valerie, Kathy, Sue & all reading, that song reminds me of where to turn, that is to God for comfort during the storm. It is a grief how many have been slain since I posted about being in God's hands.
Were not the Christians in Egypt and Syria in God's hands?
Of course they were. Just as righteous Stephan and all the martyrs were slain, not by the hand of God, but by the hand of man. In the parable, Jesus said the caretakers of the land killed those who the owner sent.
Face today and tomorrow without fear, brothers and sisters in Christ. Our life is more than the bread we eat. Our eternal life is purchased with the blood of the only begotten Son of God. Nothing can keep us from him. Not even death. He has the power to give eternal life after death and raise these bodies.

The prophet was asked, can these dry bones live? The answer is yes. Yes by the power of God. We are in God's hands. He is our refuge.

Father in heaven, I come before You, our source of life and source of salvation. Please forgive our sins. Please forgive those who sin against us. Be glorified in all the earth and cause every idol to be cast down.
To you belong the kingdoms of this world. You have said in Your word that Jerusalem belongs to You. Bless Jerusalem with Your presence and rule.
I ask that you bless those who love You today with Your presence, and give provision for their needs. Please, whatever is to happen in Damascus and the middle east, please move Your people out of the way and shield them if You would. Bless this forum with peace and cause us to hear Your words. Bring us safely into Your presence to live with You forever. Comfort those who are mourning, my God. Come quickly Lord Jesus.
