Gunmen shot dead 11 people, mostly Christians, in central Syria on Saturday...A witness described what appeared to be a sectarian attack indiscriminately targeting members of the minority. A resident in the area told The Associated Press that the gunmen randomly opened fire on a street as Christians were celebrating a feast day. He spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.

My heart wants the Lord to return so much.
The articles are examples of the difference between the Lord God Almighty and His enemies.

God opens His mouth and life, love, good shepherding come out, righteous judgement is the only kind that comes from God.
His enemies spew hatred and death without reason or justice.

Father God, Your will be done on the earth as it is in heaven. We pray to You for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Please comfort those who mourn, guide them and provide for them, fill them with the Holy Spirit presence, powerfully in this time of great need. Convict their attackers to repent and give their entire lives over to Jesus, submitting to Him and renouncing all other gods, renouncing their own way.

19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. 20 And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. 21 Then the Lord will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to the Lord and perform it. 22 And the Lord will strike Egypt, He will strike and heal it; they will return to the Lord, and He will be entreated by them and heal them.

23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.

24 In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, 25 whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

God bless you Valerie, Texas Sue, Kathy for the encouragement in these times to keep our eyes on Jesus who is coming again.

It has been said that the pyramids may be that sign in Egypt that the prophet described. There is an array of teaching about the building of the pyramids.
I wonder if when Egypt realizes that Jesus is the Savior, and witness this, if there will be some other monument built that everyone will know for sure was built as a witness of His salvation.
We witness and testify of what we know.

I pray please God encourage, comfort, strengthen our brothers and sisters in Christ who are in Egypt in these bitter, hard times. Cause them to overcome. Cause Your word about Egypt to come to pass.

The church in Egypt witnesses of Him now but do not have the political power to build a monument to the Lord God at the border and center of the land.
Egypt will one day have a witness of what they know of Jesus for themselves.
The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ and He shall reign forever. Amen. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus
