This morning the Holy Spirit reminded me of Corrie Ten Boom, and prompted me to look her up on the internet. For those who don't know, Corrie's family in Holland hid many Jews from the Nazi's and helped smuggle them out of the country to freedom. They were turned in by a spy in their neighborhood and all of her family died in concentration camps except Corrie. She was released from Ravensbruck by a "clerical error" and then traveled the world for 33 years as a witness to God's power.

Her book, "THE HIDING PLACE", built my faith as a young Christian and I look forward to meeting her in heaven. I saw her speak in person in 1976 and she is one of three people I have seen in my life that had the glow of heaven on her face. She lived through hell itself in the concentration camps and knows the power of God to keep us in all circumstances. This short video will inspire you. The Jewish people planted a tree in honor of her family in Israel on the Avenue of the Gentiles. They love her and her family too for their sacrifice in their behalf.

As she says, God's plan is beautiful and He is working it out.
The time is nearer and nearer when this world will be filled with the knowledge and glory of the Lord as the water covers the sea.
There will be a flood of forgiveness and renewal, the Lord will reign as King over all the earth.

The one thing she says in the below video on forgiveness that I think she does not understand, is about persecution time. Persecution and hardship has come, millions have suffered in one way or another for faith in Jesus.
Yet this is not the great tribulation/time of Jacob's trouble.
It is true we need to stand now, and suffer if this comes to us, to jail for the name of Jesus if it comes to us, to die even for the sake of Jesus if it comes to us, and be victorious in faith if this comes to us here.
If it does, we need to call on Jesus and remember that the church is not appointed to the wrath of God.

In Revelation 1:12-20, John turns and sees the seven golden lampstands.
Jesus tells him that these are the seven churches. The churches are in heaven, the Son of man, Jesus, in the midst of them before the book is opened, seals broken which begins that time like no other, the time of Jacob's trouble, the time when Israel returns to God and wickedness is judged.
In Rev 5:7-10, elders fall down before Jesus and sing to the Lord.


Revelation Chapter 1, color used to show the church presence

12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me.
And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

14 His head and [his] hairs [were] white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes [were] as a flame of fire;

15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength.

17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18 I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

There is an angel for each of the churches! Father in heaven, however our angel appointed to the church we are in may help us, I pray to you in Jesus name for this assistance to the church. Come quickly Lord Jesus.


Revelation Chapter 5

7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

I agree with Regina and that Corrie had an opinion about the tribulation with which I do not agree. It may be due to the denomination she grew up in held that belief. Otherwise her words on how the Lord Jesus sustained her and others through a very dark time is very powerful and something that is worth hearing. If the Bible were written today I think her family would be in there like Esther and Mordacai.
