1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

How would you like to have some dwarfs wash your dishes? =)

Watch this scene from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and you'll see what I'm talking about!

Re: How would you like to have some dwarfs wash your dishes? =)

Kathy,

A dishwasher, perhaps, everyone!?! Is what I thought, when I watched this scene from TH:TUJ.

My DSIL 'n' I thoroughly enjoy the Lord of The Rings series, for which we can see occasionally on the AMC channel. I surely hope that they will also add--The Hobbit: The Unxpected Journey edition to the airing of their LOTR movie series, for us to also see.

My SIL has the all three LOTR sequels, except for the TH:TUJ.

TITANIC actor Bernard Hill (Captain E.J. Smith) is seen in TLOTR: Return of The King sequel.

Anyhoo, thank you for posting the above video.

Maranatha!

Re: How would you like to have some dwarfs wash your dishes? =)

You're welcome. I have the J.R.R. Tolkien books, The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, as well as The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, and I've read them all; The Lord of the Rings, in particular, has caught my interest and imagination. I also have all 4 epic Tolkien movies, as well as all 3 movies based on 3 of the novels in The Chronicles of Narnia series, on DVD. However, I don't have TLOTR's extended movie versions. Waahh!!

Yes, I suspect that poor Bilbo Baggins could most definitely have used a dishwasher, especially on that night! LOL!!

BTW, did you know that Tolkien and Lewis were friends? They both belonged to an informal writers club.

Here's a link to a thread on this very subject on another Christian end-times forum, Fresh Hope: http://www.fresh-hope.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19940.

You know, I first started this thread back in 2013! Thank goodness it's still here. I think I should like to update it for the first time in a along time.
