I must interject here out of greatest concern for those who might view this post and not get the vaccine when they are most at risk for getting the flu. I am a certified infection control specialist with a lot of education in this area. Although there has been much hype surrounding vaccines and vaccinations for years, the truth is they have made society a better and safer place to live in. The diseases they prevent are horrible, and it is very important that people realize vaccination is NOT a bad thing. The flu shot is also a very important and crucial health strategy for immunocompromised and elderly to take. Influenza is a debilitating and potentially fatal disease. The flu shot is a safe and effective way to prevent this, and I do not like to see this posted here on this forum because this forum is for posting items about the soon return of our Lord and savior, it is not a place to post things that incite fear in others who may be less aware of the truth of such matters. Although I do believe often times in government conspiracies and such, I truly do not think that the flu shot contains anything other than what it says it does.
Risk of the flu vaccine:
Vaccines are among the most studied medical interventions we have, with the highest safety. Millions of vaccine have been given with only rare side effects. No one claims the vaccine is without risk, but the evidence clearly shows the risk is very small.
The most likely serious reaction to the flu vaccine is from an allergic reaction. Those who are allergic to eggs or who have had a reaction to a vaccine in the past should not get the flu vaccine. If symptoms of an allergic reaction occur after getting the vaccine, then immediate medical attention should be sought. But for most people only slight or no symptoms will occur.
There is also the question of Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS). There was an outbreak of GBS follow the swine flu vaccine in 1976. However, since then there has been no clear associated between the flu vaccine and GBS. One study did show a small association, with an addition 1 case of GBS per million vaccines. GBS normally has an incidence of about one per hundred thousand per year - 10 times the extra risk of the flu vaccine.
There was some concern about the recent addition of the H1N1 strain to the flu vaccine, since the swine flu was an H1N1 strain. But careful monitoring found no additional risk of GBS from the H1N1 vaccine.
It should also be noted that you cannot get the flu from the TIV vaccine (the shot), because the virus is dead. The LIAV is a live attenuated virus, so it is theoretically possible to get an infection from this vaccine, if a spontaneous mutation occurs that restores virulence to the attenuated virus (which is rare but possible).
Much of the fear-mongering concerning the flu vaccine on the part of anti-vaccine activists have little to do with the actual small but real risks of the vaccine. Instead they largely focus on thimerosal and other imagined toxins in the vaccine.
Thimerosal is a mercury-based preservative that is present in small amounts in the multi-dose flu vaccines, but not the single dose of LIAV vaccines. The dose of ethylmurcury in the multi-dose vaccines is 25mcg, far below the safety limits for a single exposure. Ethylmercury, it should be noted, is far less toxic than methylmercury (the kind of mercury found in tuna fish) and is cleared from the body very quickly.
Further there is a large amount of evidence for the safety of thimerosal in vaccines. Fears that it is associated with autism or other neurological disorders have been shown to be unwarranted.
Conclusion
The flu vaccine is both safe and effective. Side effects are rare and can be mostly avoided if people with a history of egg allergy or vaccine sensitivity avoid the vaccine. The CDC also recommends that those with a history of GBS avoid the vaccine, although the association between the current flu vaccine and GBS is in doubt, and at worst results in one additional case per million vaccines. GBS happens more often after an ACTUAL case of the flu itself than the flu shot.
So please, if you have been told you are at risk for getting influenza by your doctor and have been told you should get the flu shot, you should do so without fear.

I would not take a flu shoot anymore.. I've seen my dad while he was alive taking these and getting sick, taking Pneumonia shots, coming down with pneumonia, which nearly caused his death twice..

He finally got smart and told the Doc. no more shots.. My mom same and stopped also..

We just seen another outbreak from that company from the east with contaminated junk...

I'd suggest Vit. C and Vit. E..

I will never, ever, take the another flu shot in my life again as long as I live! It almost killed me, and I mean it literally!

I took it back in 1998 of Feb., on the advice of my doctor, because I have asthma. Well I got so sick from it, and came down with a severe case of the flu that had to be hospitalized, and almost died from it there.

I have not taken another shot since, nor do I attend too. Nobody knows my body as well as I do, besides God, and I know what it can handle and what it absolutely can not. It can not handle the flu shot.

The first time in years, that this year 2012 I had the flu, and it was nothing compared to the time I took the shot. I felt unwell, but it failed to compare what I really felt back in 1998, as if I was going to die, as it caused me to have several severe asthma attacks in hospital. Just think 14 years ago...!

I told my daughter to discern in regards of taking it herself, as well as giving it to her children.

Well, when my first born granddaughter Arianna, had a flu shot she was 18 months old, she too ended up in hospital with severe flu and was admitted to hospital. I remember how worried my daughter and I were, as it was touch and go..she hasn't had one since and she is doing well. There is no guarantee that you won't get the flu if you are vaccinated; and for severity of the flu...forget it..it's a killer for me.

I remember speaking to other people, who had flu shots, and they too experience terrible reactions; instead of protecting from the flu, people actual got a very strong form of the flu, from the shot, which for seniors, or young children is very hard to fight off.

My husband experience the same thing, and he swore he'd never get another shot either and hasn't to date. I hear of too many horror stories of people, get so sick from taking it...back last year or the year before, can't remember exactly when, but, this young child 9 year old boy got the flu shot got the flu and died.

Thanks but no thanks! I always say to the Doctor, you can give my shot to someone else who wants it; I'm abstaning from it, thank God it didn't kill me
then. No, I'm not allergic to eggs either..!

What may be good for one person, can be and is deadly to another!

You all know your body better than anyone else, and you how much you can endure; therefore use your God given discernment, and do what's best for yourselves and your families.

My family & I, will continue to abstaine from it for good!

Just a note to add, when I had breast cancer back in 2003, I had sugery lumpectomy, and radiation treatments, and was told, that I would not survive unless I had chemotherapy, which is injected also into your system.

I prayed about it, and the Lord laid it on my heart not to take it because the chemo would kill me, not the cancer. I refused outright, and was told by the oncologist, that I had a grim prognosis, and would most likely live a year or two if that long, as it was an aggressive cancer with negative receptors. Well, by the grace of God go I; 9 years ago, going on 10 years in Feb. 2013 since I was diagnosed, with cancer..and I'm alive and well, no cancer. I would have died, if I took the doctors advise. I know my body cannot handle strong chemicals in my system, because is too delicate, for such harsh toxins. I survived to live and enjoy my grandchildren 7 & 5 years old now! I'm not planning on dying either, but being Raptured while still alive! The irony, of this chemotherapy situation, a friend of mine, told me that her best friend whom worked with these chemotherapy drugs, and lab., etc. came down with breast cancer too. She believed in this chemotherapy so much, and was bent on taking these toxins, no matter that her daughter, and family members were not on the same page. Sad to say,
a very young woman died, from chemotherapy, and not cancer...said her daughter, husband, family, etc. The chemo killed off her immune system and apparently with complications, her body couldn't recover.

Again, everyone, should pray, and take their concerns to God; and let Him guide you, what is best in your case.

I take natural substances like garlic capsules (strong antibiotic and germ killer), lemon juice or slices in my water, cloves and cinnamon in hot tea or brewed in my coffee, vitamin C, zinc(Zicam is good), and eat extra fruit and vegetables (green especially) in the winter. Also, if you keep onions and garlic in a basket in the house or even an onion in every room you will ward off germs. Onions and garlic are natural germ chasers. Go to the internet and read about the curative properties of cloves, cinnamon, honey, ginger and citrus fruits, green leafy vegetables, garlic and onions. God has provided all that we need in His creation.

I also keep Airborne on hand. Each tablet has about 1000 units of Vitamin C and other vitamins, substances that ward off or help lift a cold or virus. It tastes good too. Each tablet disolves in water like an Alka Seltzer and is fizzy. They come in different flavors like lemon, cherry, orange, or lime.

I have friends whose perfectly healthy 13 year old became severely disabled from some vaccine given to her. She is now autistic and has nerve-muscle problems and can barely walk. You couldn't pay me to take a vaccine shot of any kind or most prescription meds.

I heat water, put couple spoons of honey in it, then a squirt of lemon juice and drink that or hot choc. with couple honey in it...


Also I was going to add in my other post, but then forgot.. About 3-5 years ago, can't remember exactly when it was now, but some idiots had their baby given a flu shot, and guess what.. Yep, it got the flu and died..

The doctor said, "We should have given it a booster.." What a load of, you know what.. They shouldn't have given the baby that flue shot period..


I wouldn't trust anything that this government does anymore since 85% are nothing more than liberal socialists that thinks the earth can only handle 500,000 people and needs to be reduced by 6 billion... They are really corrupted in their minds sad to say...
