1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing .
I am listening to Billye Brim teach at a meeting in Canada right now. She is talking about the end times and about the time of "Jacob's Trouble". She trained in Israel to learn Hebrew and is very fluent in that language now.
I was listening as she said that the word "tribulation" in Hebrew means a narrow place, like a birth canal. At the end Israel would be surrounded by enemies and closed in to a narrow place. As she said that, and I think the Lord dropped this into my little head, I saw a map of Israel as it looks today. Saw it in my imagination. It looks like a NARROW PLACE, it looks like a birth canal!
So here is what came to me as I thought about it. That God used the term "tribulation"/narrow place/birth canal not only to give us an idea of WHAT would happen but WHEN it would happen. Again, we ARE the generation that will see the end of all things because the very shape and dimensions of the physical nation of Israel matches the description of tribulation/narrow place/birth canal at this time.
The trib COULD NOT have happened before Israel was regathered into a nation which happened in 1948. They recaptured Jerusalem in 1967. The shape of the country now matches the political fix they now find themselves in - surrounded on all sides by enemies who are PUSHING on them - right now verbally, but soon with rockets and ammunition. Can you see that all the previous wars - 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, 2006 - were like BIRTH PANGS - CONTRACTIONS leading up the big PUSH -the trib? We have reached that point in time now. WOW! JESUS IS COMING SOON!
I was thinking about this topic again today and decided to look at a map of Israel as it was laid out in 1948 before the 1956 battle with Egypt where they took the Sinai Penisula and the 1967 battle where they reclaimed Jerusalem and the West Bank. In the map below Israel's territory is in purple. Notice how broken up and piecemeal it looks. It did not get that narrow place tunnel look until after 1967. Another sign of the approaching tribulation or being pressed thru a narrow place.

These 1948 borders are what BHO and the world is trying to force Israel back to and are the conditions for the infamous GW Bush Road Map plan. Abraham was promised land all the way to the border of the Euphrates River on one side and the Nile River and Mediterrean on the other. That is what the native Israelies refer to as "Greater Israel". I believe after the Psalm 83 war they will possess all of that land.
