1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

   For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Its been 7 years since Gaza settlers were evicted: a somber anniversary

Bad things do happen to good people, so I am not saying this is "why" Ariel Sharon had a stroke and has been in a coma. This is a terrible state to be in.
When I read his statement at the end of the above article, I do wonder about "why".

“Don’t attack the men and women in uniform. Don’t accuse them. Don’t make it harder for them, don’t harm them. Attack me. I am responsible for this.” —Ariel Sharon

Just poor health? Or was God upset at not possessing the land that the children of Israel were instructed to take way back in:
Numbers 13 They didn't obey this time and ended up in a wilderness for 40 years.

Deut 9:23 Moses didn't let them forget it.

Joshua 1 God told them again to take the land and possess it.
1After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, 2“Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel. 3Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses. 4From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory. 5No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. 6Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. 7Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good successa wherever you go. 8This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

I hope Ariel Sharon wakes up for his sake and the sake of his family. I hope the leaders of Israel wake up too, and realize what Joshua did during an encounter with a messenger from the Almighty. WE are to be for the Lord first...
Joshua 5:13-15
13And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? 14And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? 15And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

I hope the leaders of the Israel military and Knesset get their shoes off, get into holy ground before the Lord today and find out what God wants them to do now.
