1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Re: Raise Him Up--Randy Travis

Kathy, I love to hear Randy Travis sing. He puts his whole heart into his songs.

This is a quote on youtube under one of the versions of Randy Travis's "I THOUGHT HE WALKED ON WATER" which was about his great grandfather. Don't know the name of the person who said it but it fits for Father's Day.

FAIR USE FOR INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION PURPOSES

we all lose our fathers or our grandfathers at some point in life and when we are children we always seem to think that they will always be around and never leave us this song is about just that thank you for watching my friends...

this is dedicated to bob ---- r.i.p my dear friend

"He Walked on Water" is a country music song written by Allen Shamblin and recorded by American country music singer Randy Travis on his 1989 album No Holdin' Back, from which it was released as the third and final single. The song peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) chart, and #1 on Canada's RPM country chart.

The song is a ballad in which a male narrator tells of his experiences as a boy and how he then believed his great-grandfather could "walk on water."
..."And my mama's daddy was his oldest son, and I thought that he walked on water."...

Here is the official version of the song that has a wonderful video. This is the sweetest song and video! Happy late Father's Day everyone.

A boy and his grandpa. I love it!

Re: Raise Him Up--Randy Travis

Whenever I hear this song and see this video it makes me cry. We all have loved ones who are so precious to us who have gone on to heaven. I find that more and more I think of them and long to see them so very much. Surely not much of a wait anymore for that. Ready for the dead to rise and all of us to meet again in GLORY. Come Lord Jesus!
