Obama has ordered the US Navy and Air Force to accelerate preparations for a limited air offensive against the Assad regime and the imposition of no-fly zones over Syria, debkafile reports. ...the Nezavisimaya Gazeta newspaper reported that the Russian army is apparently being prepared for a mission in Syria. Massacre feared as Syria troops pound Al-Haffe

Rami Abdel Rahman of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said regime forces were using heavy artillery against the town while massing reinforcements in preparation for a ground assault. Why would the British all of sudden get involved? What does "The fortress also will cease from Ephraim" mean? Does Britain end the Rule of President Bashar al-Assad?

After you read The Lost Tribes of Israel by Pastor David D. Johnson, it all begins to make a lot of sense. Even the End time prophecies about Israel when you factor in the United States as the Lost Tribe of Manasseh and Great Britain as the Lost tribe of Ephraim, both being part of the House of Israel. When Israel gets attacked will America and Great Britain also be attacked by the Gog-Magog Confederacy. Does this explain the prophecies, dreams and visions about the destruction of America I have heard so much and wondered about?

No truth to that at all. That's something Herbert Armstrong believes, but it's not true in the slightest. The lost tribes of Israel are just that--tribes of Israel. The English, as a whole, are Gentiles, as are most Americans.

JIM, no I have not read that book you mentioned. You know we can't take anything for granted, and yes it is alot of information and news lately on Syria to ignore anything. I'm just stating word for word, what they reported, therefore, it's just heresay.

I feel, that Syria & the destruction of Damascus is a Major sign, which will bring the whole world into WW3
Yet, there is something within me, that is sensing we wouldn't be here to see it happen. Therefore, it gives me hope and great joy that our departure could actually be so very close now.

I watched it with great interest. My own opinion, is that this destruction will take place just prior to the Rapture...maybe even on the same day as the Rapture. Rapture & Sudden Destruction?

When I saw all this news lately about Syria, I got very excited, thinking, perhaps this will be the last wake up call to accept the Lord, along with the Rapture taken place within that time period.

God knows the day and hour, we know it's near, even at the very door.

BEIRUT (AP) — Syrian government troops shelled suburbs of the capital Damascus, killing at least 12 people in a stepped-up regime offensive on rebel areas around the country, activists said Saturday.

Most of the deaths occurred overnight in the restive suburb of Douma, where activists said regime forces fired mortars that struck a residential building, killing eight people.

In the central city of Homs, government troops kept up their relentless shelling of rebel-held districts, including Khaldiyeh and Jouret el-Shayyah, in an effort to recover those territories.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights urged U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to "intervene immediately."

In a statement, the Observatory said more than 1,000 families, including women and children, were trapped in embattled districts amid worsening humanitarian conditions and called for the evacuation and protection of dozens of wounded whose lives were in danger because of the scarcity of doctors and medicines needed to treat them.

Douma-based activist Mohammed Saeed and the Observatory, which relies on a network of activists on the ground, said that four people were killed in the shelling of Arbeen and Tall suburbs.

Violence in Syrian City Blocks Evacuation of Wounded

Aid teams from the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Syrian Red Crescent said Thursday that violence has forced them to halt attempts to evacuate wounded civilians from the western Syrian city of Homs. The ICRC had announced Wednesday it was ready to move trapped and wounded citizens from Homs. It said opposition forces and government troops agreed to a temporary truce so the group could carry out evacuations and bring in much-needed medical supplies.
