My brother's only granddaughter was married last night in the most heavenly, beautiful setting. It was held on the grounds of a restored antebellum 1850's restored home in my home town. It sits on a large piece of land with several trees, some over 400 years old, flower beds and shrubs. The house tour guide told us there are 499 rose bushes!

The wedding was held in a beautiful double gazebo/garden house under one of the 400 year old trees. We were all seated in white wooden chairs on either side of the brick walk to the gazebo. The reception was set up in a huge white tent on the grounds that had twinkle lights and big white chinese lanterns strung through the ceiling. The tables had white cloths and antique-style uinque centerpieces and white chairs with bright hot pink bows around them. There were also tables and chairs set up under the trees across from the tent.

Everything about the setup decorations and colors had the vintage flavor and brightness of spring. There was a wonderful string ensemble in the garden house/gazebo playing music prior to the bride and her wedding party arrival for the ceremony. The bride's father gave a very touching little speech about her before the ceremony began. We were all in tears.

She is a wonderful Christian girl and so is her new husband so the whole evening was Christ-centered and designed by them to lift up Jesus to all who attended. It was so special that it has me wanting our bridegroom to come for us right now! What a wedding that will be. I have stars in my eyes just thinking about it.
