1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Rocket fired from Egypt hits Israeli city of Eilat

A Grad rocket has landed in the southern Israeli city of Eilat, but has caused no damage or injuries, Israeli security officials said.

District police chief Ron Gertner told Israeli radio the rocket had been fired from Egypt's Sinai peninsula.

He said it struck a construction site close to a residential area shortly after midnight (21:00 GMT).

The blast took place as thousands congregated in the resort town for the Jewish holiday of Passover.

Rocket attacks from Egyptian soil are uncommon. Attacks on Eilat and the nearby Jordanian town of Aqaba in 2010 killed one person and injured another four.

Mark, Gary Stearman talked about this very story today on Prophecy In The News. Looks like the muslim brotherhood is trying to 'stir the pot'. Gary said that many Israelis celebrate Passover in Elyat and that this looked like a well timed deliberate attack. But God....!!! No deaths,no injuries and isn't that great? Under the shadow of His wing there is safety and peace.

Re: Rocket fired from Egypt hits Israeli city of Eilat

Sue,

I have often wondered about these kinds of situations... in the spirit. Even when only one rocket falls on Israeli soil, what judgement befalls that nation?

Re: Rocket fired from Egypt hits Israeli city of Eilat

Mark, I am assuming you mean judgment on the nation firing the rocket at Israel. Looks like all of Israel's neighbors who have assaulted, attacked, and fought against them from almost the very day they became a nation are suffering judgment now. Judgment by degrees that continue to ratchet up each time. The so-called arab spring was, I believe, a judgment.

There is hope for Egypt, because in Isaiah there is a prophecy about a bond of peace and a highway from Egypt through Israel to Iraq. Don't know when it will happen but at some point there must be a turnaround. I hope we are able to see some of what occurs from heaven after we leave.
