1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Billye Brim Blog From Israel
Erev Shabbat 3/9/12

Landed in Eretz Israel about 3 p.m. Friday.
The VIP greeter holding up a sign that read BRIM/OAKS was a welcome sight, well worth the extra cost. The young dark-haired Israeli wearing a white shirt and dark pants escorted us down an elevator and into a waiting car, then quickly through passport control. He picked up our luggage in baggage claim, walked us right out and turned us over to the driver Rani Levy had hired to drive us to Jerusalem and our hotel.

(This is especially important in the new Ben Gurion airport. The first time I walked the very long distance from the plane to baggage claim I noticed the vastness along the long walkway and mused This could handle the throngs who will come up to Jerusalem in the Millennium.)

Ah! Jerusalem! And Ah! Arriving on the afternoon of Erev (Evening) Shabbat! Flowers in stands along the road were awaiting buyers to take them home before the welcome of what the Jews call the Queen Shabbat. No matter what trouble the Jews might go through, when Shabbat enters she brings her Peace.

Kylie unpacked our things in the small intimate hotel we’ll stay in until our tour group comes. We arranged for a taxi to take us to The Cotel (The Wall).

Ah! Shabbat at the Wall. Praying. Singing and Dancing. Rejoicing. Kylie and I stood on the wide plaza and watched from behind a short wall what was taking place on the men’s side. You talk about dancing! Dancing is a huge part of their worship of God. Several circles of dancing men were singing different songs at the same time. And there was no confusion.
Only rejoicing.

I did see a strange sight I’d never seen before. There he was standing so recognizable in his trademark yellow and red persona - Winnie the Pooh! His wonderful singing voice rose above the voices of the others in the rejoicing circle, just as his about 6’3” height towered over the dancers.

In other circles we spotted an angel, someone in a Santa’s elf hat, and among the women, Queen Esther. You see it is Purim.
It is the holiday of great rejoicing to commemorate how God saved the Jews from being wiped out by Haman’s wicked plot.
And how He will destroy those who want to destroy the Jews in the future. Of course I thought about how Persia (Iran) today is threatening to wipe Israel off the map. The same God who delivered them then will deliver them now! “Hear the Word of the LORD, O ye nations…He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock” (Jeremiah 31:10.”

March 10, 12 A Quiet Shabbat

A quiet Shabbat. Families with children all round us in our hotel.

Upon awaking, we checked the Internet and learned of the rocket barrage on southern Israel from Gaza. Around here there is no sign of it. Birds singing. Children singing. Only Shabbat Peace.

Read several chapters in the Book of Revelation. Chapters 11-15. Then the entire Book of Esther. It is clear that God has always guarded the Jews from His enemy and theirs who wants to annihilate them. The adversary’s aim is to wipe out the Jews and thus prevent God’s promises concerning them from coming to pass. i.e. to stop the Word of God.

At the time of Esther it was Satan’s kingdom working through Haman in the Land of Persia (Iran).
I am sure the evil prince of Persia in the second heavens who withstood Michael as recorded in Daniel 10, is still at work now. How reassuring the message of Purim.

Re: Purim Shabbat News from Israel - March 9-10

Sandy, Billye Brim is one of my favorite bible teachers because she is so clear and keeps it so simple. I can understand what she is talking about. She is also a big supporter of Israel and their place in God's plans. I went to a conference in Ft Worth a couple of years ago where she taught the whole book of Ezekiel in 5 sessions. I learned so very much in such a short time. She pointed out that God says all thru Ezekiel that He is saving the Jews for HIS name's sake.

One example I can think of is, He promised that there would be someone on the throne of David forever. If the Jews are destroyed, then God is a liar and that word and many others cannot come true. Satan would like nothing better than to destroy every single Jewish person in the world in order to make God a liar. He will not and he cannot. God is all truth and cannot lie. Every word will be fulfilled. Looks like we are about to see a bunch of them fulfilled all at once.

Billye and her granddaughter are in Israel now, a week ahead of the tour group they are taking around the country. We should be getting a lot of on the ground reporting while she is there. I look forward to that.

Tammy, did you have a vision, or were you just thinking about the rapture while you read?

March 12, 2012 Divine Appointments

Submitted by BillyeBrim on Mon, 03/12/2012 - 10:46

Blog From Jerusalem
March 12, 2012

Yesterday was a day of divinely arranged appointments.
In the Jewish quarter of the Old City, we happened to cross paths with Rivka Shore. This amazing and beautiful woman is the wife of Rabbi Raphel Shore. Rabbi Shore is a Canadian-Israeli film writer and producer. His films include Obsession, The Third Jihad, IRANIUM.

It has been my blessing to eat two Shabbat meals at their home with the Shores, including their 9 children, and several interesting guests.
They live in the Jewish Quarter.

I’d planned to call Rivka, but there she was, scurrying toward her home with her folded artist’s easle in hand. She paints beautifully and I wanted to speak to her about offering her painting of the Pool of Shiloach (Siloam) looking back up to the Temple as it was before the Temple was destroyed.

The waters of Shiloach which “go gently” have intrigued me for years. (See Is 8:6, John 9:7. Also John 7:37 where Jesus stood on Hoshana Rabba of the Feast of Tabernacles. The waters that flow from the Temple in Ezekiel 47 down through the Dead Sea making it alive.)
I want to do a teaching on these waters and offer prints of one of her paintings. She once told me the place of the pool is the place of greatest inspiration to her.

Anyway, there she was before our eyes. We talked a little about this.
But we asked her what she thought about the current situation in the south. She said her Rabbi had advised reading Psalm 46, as pertinent.

Kylie looked at me and said, “MiMi and I just read that.”

The night before I told Kylie that many of the Psalms are prophetic.
And that Psalms 46, 47, and 48 are in prophetic order.
We studied them and I included things in the Hebrew that translate a little differently. Some of them are:

Psalm 46 – This is from now, through the trouble (tribulation) until the Messiah conquers and God is exalted among the nations.

V. 1: refuge, Heb. Hasach—to which one flees
Present help—Heb. much to be found help
Trouble—tribulation
The earth be removed—Heb. At earth’s transformation

V. 4 The river and streams are the waters of Gihon.

V. 7 refuge—Heb. Misgav, an impregnable place.

v.10 Be Still—Heb. Desist; cease your efforts.
Heathen—Heb. Goyim, nations.

Psalm 47 Most Commentators agree this Psalm is dedicated to the era of the Messiah.

V. 1 Clap your hands—Heb. Join your hands

V. 5 translated from Hebrew—God is gone up with a blast, the LORD with the sound of a shofar.

Psalm 48 - The Millennium

V. 7
Note: The east wind is reserved for God’s punishments. (See Ex 14:21, the Egyptians; Ez 27:26 Tyre; And I think the Bush home in Kinnebunkport, ME 10/31 and 11/1, 1991.)

Now back to our connections made yesterday.
When we went to Shorashim Shop to visit with our long time friends Moshe and Dov there happened into the store Rabbi Blech. He is visiting from New York. Good conversation as we told how we’d enjoyed and sold his books on The Secrets of Hebrew Words and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Jewish History and Culture that he authored on Judaism.

Well, it is now Yom Sheni (the Second Day), Monday the 12th and we are looking forward to another day with our Guide the Holy Spirit.

Shalom, Shalom

Re: Purim Shabbat News from Israel - March 9-10

As Billie Brim has said before, her ministry is that of a "witness." To be at the right place, at the right time to make that connection with the right person...it seems to me. I believe this time is no different.

Her "witness" will have such a strong influence on many Israelis during the time of "Jacob's Trouble."

Awesome. I'm glad I'm a partner.

I will have to re-read Psalms 46-48.
