1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing .

I cried so much watching this, what they are trying to do is so beautiful. Unfortunately there are a lot more konis out there. But, even if they manage to stop just one war criminal, its worth every effort. This world is so messed up. The truth is its been messed up for a long time. Sometimes I can't believe the evil that goes on in mans heart. Surely, God has patience and love towards us. Seeing how terrible humans are towards each other, all the crimes, of things I can't even begin to imagine. I don't see how God did not wipe us all out during a second flood long ago.
You know I never understood the nature of sin, we always equate sin with disobeying God, but we also associate it a lot with satan provoking us. I think its more than just satan provoking us though, it seems like evil desires already dwell within us ( some being more susceptible than others) . And yes, I am aware that the bible does say we are born with a sinful nature, because of the fall at the Garden. However, I have never been able to rap my head around such evils. Evils like the holocaust or what this man does. How can such evil flow from Gods own creation? And I never did understand how all that comes about from eating from a fruit. And yes, yes I know it had more to do with the act of disobedience, more like a curse that befell us.
I guess its one of those things Jesus will have to explain to me when we get to heaven. The bible said Jesus was prepared to die for us before the foundation of the world. That means God knew we were going to fail in the garden, so why go through with it? weird. Anyway, whats done is done, I just hope Jesus comes soon to rescue us out of this fallen world.

Love the pic. I so agree with everything you said. I was thinking about Kony and what a mad man he is. And a thought came to me.
It is going to take a lot of effort, money, man power, etc to try to catch this mad man. But what if...what if Christians all over the world united in prayer for his salvation? If he were to have an encounter with the Most High God, he would repent and turn from his wicked ways. Paul did it, why not Kony? Just a thought.

you know I never even thought of that, praying for him never even crossed my mind. you know its weird, but its easier for you to pray for people when you don't know their crimes. I know Jesus says love and pray for our neighbors, and basically our neighbors include everyone good or bad. However its hard to pray for a Hitler for example. On the other hand you are right, Jesus is always the best answer for this crazy world. As you said if Paul had not had that encounter with Jesus he would have kept on killing and persecuting Gods children.
Thing is, not all mens hearts surrender to jesus and even if they do, sometimes it takes time. As we have seen in our own families, where sometimes after years of prayer the person finally accepts the Lord. If God was going to do something in terms of getting this man to have a change of heart, he would have to do it soon, because in the meantime he is ruining and killing lives.
I think its better he gets arrested and while in prison he will have the time to think about jesus. I know sounds cruel.
I guess i will leave that up to God, let him be the judge. But, yes you are right praying for this mans salvation is no different than praying for a drug addict,or drug dealer or any other sin filled person who does not know the lord. Yes his crimes are many, but I find that those people who have lived the most depraved lives, those same people once they know Jesus, are very radical for him. They truly become as Paul, because they know the depth of misery and sin that they were in and where the Lord took them from, they are that much more appreciative. They go all out for Jesus, and that's something I have always noticed.
