1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Age of people in Heaven?

I have some questions after reading this book Heaven is so Real where this little boy claims he went to heaven. I believe this little boys story. It sounds like he indeed met Jesus. I have a three year old who is quite bright and he would never be able to make up stories that would remotely have the detail that this little boy was able to give.

Well I have heard from some that we will be in our prime in heaven around age 30. this matches up with what little Colton had to say but he also saw children in heaven. I just wonder if my children are raptured tomorrow if they will remain children or if they will age?. Has anyone read any books that would give any clue as to what age we will be or what will happen in the case of infants and children?

I feel like I am getting ready to live in a different place and I want to know a little more about it before I get there. I guess we are going that soon.

Re: Age of people in Heaven?

Oh, I definitely believe there will be children in heaven! I have a read and heard stories about people who have seen heaven, and there were always children there in every story I have heard. Children are such a joy! I can't imagine heaven without the sounds of children playing, can you?

Matthew 18:3
and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Re: Age of people in Heaven?

I cannot imagine Heaven without children either. I just wonder if my children will age in heaven... I wonder if my son will always be three... I feel that the rapture will occur while they are still quite young if not the age they are now.

I really cannot wait. It sounds so wonderful. I am glad my children will remain children for a long time.

Re: Age of people in Heaven?

A really wonderful book you just must read if you have not already is "Nine days in heaven". Written over 150 years ago by a young woman who went into a trance and was taken to heaven. Her story matches up perfectly with scripture in every way, and is a wonderful witness to Christ. I most definitely believe she was telling the truth. She says children and baby spirits are taken up to heaven as they are, and then taught and grow and develop in heaven. She says there are even special nurseries for the itty bitty babies, and it is a place of wonder, peace and love. You can download a free excerpt from the book here:

This book is a must read for all Christians in my opinion, so uplifting!!!
Keep looking up!!!

Re: Age of people in Heaven?

Another excellent book about heaven is "Within Heaven's Gates" by Rebecca Springer. I read it after my mom died, and it was so wonderfully encouraging. It was written in the early 1900's...she saw a vision of heaven while she was unconscious for several days. Highly recommended!

Re: Age of people in Heaven?

Yes, and here's a link to an online version of that book in pdf format. You'll have to have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computers to be able to access it.

Intra Muros, by Rebecca Springer

Re: Age of people in Heaven?

Wow...thanks Kathy G.!

Re: Age of people in Heaven?

You're welcome, Shelby!

And while you're at it, you might also want to read this story that's also available on pdf format. Unlike Intra Muros, this one's only a fictional novelette that's 40 pages long, but it's a delightful Rapture story which is told from the viewpoint of a 5-year-old child.

Add "A Place Called Heaven" by Gary Wood to your book list. It is not a very long book so it can be read in a couple of sittings. I have met Dr. Wood, who died in a car wreck when he was 18. He was dead for a couple of hours and toured heaven with a good friend who had died the year before. He met and talked with Jesus, went to the throne of God, saw the babies and little children in heaven, animals of all kinds, and a storehouse with body parts. The storehouse had a name on the door - "Unclaimed Blessings".

He said that he was told that the babies were either aborted, died in war or other accidents, or miscarried. Their little spirits go to heaven and the angels care for them. It is an excellent book and a quick read.

Jesse Duplantis in a visit to heaven also saw the children. He met a family going on a picnic who invited him to come along. The angel escort told Jesse they didn't have time as God had an appointment with him. The angel also told him that the whole family, the mom, dad and two children, had died at the same time in a car accident. They were all in heaven together and would raise their children there. Heaven is such a wonderful place. Jesse said it was a lot like earth except perfect. I think we will feel so at home when we arrive.

Jesse's book is called, "Close Encounters of the God Kind".
