1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

"I Stand Amazed In The Presence"

I totally flipped over this hymn, when I heard the Gaither Gospel Singers singing it during one of their Precious Memories program(s) on TBN. Here are Charles H. Gabriel's lyrics...

I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner, condemned, unclean.

Refrain
O how marvelous! O how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
O how marvelous! O how wonderful!
Is my Saviour's love for me

For me it was in the garden
He prayed: "Not my will, but thine."
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat drops of blood for mine.

Refrain

In pity angels beheld Him,
And came from the world of light
To comfort Him in the sorrows
He bore for my soul that night.

Refrain

He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calvary,
And suffered and died alone.

Refrain

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
'Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

Refrain

Re: "I Stand Amazed In The Presence"

The above song indicates how I felt as I stood/or sat (in the spirit) in Jesus' presence, in one of my Rapture dreams. For I felt totally awe-struck, as I gazed steadily at Him, for I just couldn't take my eyes of off Him. Then He looked directly at me, as ours eyes locked onto each other, and He conveyed His loving thoughts my way...telling me that He loves me. He made me feel as though I was His most precious possession, and truly loved and accepted.

We're all going to feel the above song's message soon, for when we get to Heaven, when we get to meet our beloved Saviour inperson. For He'll make us ALL feel very VERY special in His sight.

I can't wait to go there, can you!?

Maranatha!

Thank you, Valerie, for posting this wonderful Gaither Gathering @ the BG Library on grounds Tent Meeting, of them singing this beautiful hymn.

This hymn always, it seems to brings tears to my eyes.

'Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.
