Hi... Forgive me if this sounds silly. But... is anyone of you here actually in the process of stocking up on supplies at home, in case there may suddenly be days of worldwide darkness or power outage before the Rapture?



Examples:

- canned food
- bottled water
- dry food items (biscuits or crackers)
- personal hygiene and sanitary products (toilet tissues, facial tissues, etc)
- torch lights or flash lights
- batteries
- any other essentials

Unfortunately, we have neither the money nor the space to stock up--wish we did! We are going to be totally dependent on God to protect us and provide for us if, Heaven forbid, anything so catastrophic as either eventuality should happen.

I have those items, enough for a little while,

I hope we aren't stranded but we do not know what the next couple of weeks are going to bring.

Yep. I have a freezer full of food, three pantries full of dry goods, purchasing a generator soon. I have to admit thoug that i have this feeling that i wont need it. Still doesnt hurt to use wisdom and be prepared.

No, it doesn't sound silly.

We are on a farm, have a garden and do a lot of canning. Its just something that we do. Besides eating what we grow, there's the advantage of not having to run to the grocery store every couple of days.

Not a matter of faith or lack of it...just common sense. Ask anybody that lives in a hurricane zone why keeping extra supplies on hand is a really good idea.

With all that we see going on, it should be a no-brainer.

I thought that I was really stocked up good...foolish me...We just had a hurricane here and I realized that I had a totally inadequate supply of food and supplies..

I know that I am supposed to stock up..if not for me..then for whoever may use our home..because we do have a whole house generator and we would have power longer than anyone else..(who knows how long that may be?)

Through the hurricane maybe God opened many peoples eyes as to how inadequate their supplies were...I know He did mine...

Waiting for some extra cash to get food and supplies..and I know God will provide it if my home will be used ...

My husband & I have enough in our small pantry to keep us going for a few weeks...we always have a little extra on hand in case we have visitors. We buy the water when it's on sale, so for now we have enough cases in case of a disaster. I believe God will multiple if we run short, and if we don't need it, I'm sure someone left behind could use it.

So as far as stocking up, no, we're not stocking up in that sense of the word which some may be doing.

We would have enough for our family..But during the hurricane we had 6 extra people from 2 diffrent families staying with us...and I know God does nothing by accident..so we will stock up after much praying..

mmm ... i see some of you are well-prepared in advance ... neat !!


there is space limit for me
so i cannot stock up too much either
sometimes you just hope you own a warehouse


but if i may ever run short of supplies and unable to replenish in the last minute ... i think will just have to pray and rely on God for help then


however ... having some extras standby is still a useful and logical thing to do ... especially in these uncertain times

Grace, that's one of our problems too. We downsized about 5 years ago, from a big two storey house, to a small bungalow everything on one floor.

Our Children, both got married and left home, and stairs became a big issue for me due to chronic pain of Arthritis. We love our smaller home, it's just right for us, and a small dog! LOL!!!

There just isn't enough space to stock up in our home now, and I too believe if we should start running short, the good Lord will multiple and supply from what little remains.

my mum has same condition as you


i dislike using stairs
mainly because i am now getting heavier due to pregnancy
so it is pretty strained for my legs and knees
but i know i need to exercise a bit

We also do not have a lot of room, but because of the generator we can load up on our freezer much more than we already have it..I am not talking about hoarding but just filling up all that we have with Gods supplies and after that we also will have to rely on God..Maybe the ravens will feed us too :)))
