1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Wine into Water?

On a the lighter side. I hope you will not find this irreverent but it was something I found funny.

I am listening to a song on one of Todd Agnew's albums called "This is all I have to give". It is a song told from Joseph's perspective of raising Jesus.

Listening to the song I wondered if Jesus just like other young people engaged in harmless childhood pranks. One of which would be turning Joseph's wine into water at the dinner table.

I am just musing and grinning. Like the rest of you, I am ready to go home and see Jesus. This world has lost it's hold on me, I yearn for a better place.

God bless and keep looking up.

Not much longer. Everyday that passes is another day closer.

Re: Wine into Water?

Yeah, really!

You know, reading your thread title reminds me of something that Bill Cosby quoted in his 1998 book, Kids Say the Darndest Things. It's posted in Part 1: "Devout Darlings."

Kids are as creative in interpreting the New Testament are they are with the Old.

"What's your favorite Bible story?" I asked a young lady of eight.

"The trick Jesus did at that wedding," she said.

"You mean when He turned water into wine?"

"Yeah, what a trick! That's better'n pouring water down your pants only they don't get wet."

"Jesus couldn't do that one 'cause pants hadn't been invented yet." (I took a shot.) "So tell me, what does that trick at the wedding teach us?"

"The more wine you get, the better the wedding."

I've been at weddings where Jesus would have wanted to turn the wine into water.

Re: Wine into Water?

I bet Jesus was probably a fun child to be with, and

the way the movies have portrayed his parents, they were fully convinced who he was and

when he stayed over in Jerusalem to "be about his Fathers business" they knew what he was talking about, they knew

I bet the story where Jesus made mud cakes and turned them into birds happened,

and one story where he and his Dad were building a chair and it was to small for the owner to sit in, so Jesus and his Dad, facing each other pulled the chair apart and Wha La the chair is widened, fixes that!

I do not know for sure if these stories are true,

We know Jesus is a wonderful regular person besides being GOD. Mary sure was a blessed woman as the Bible says.

I am so glad we are so far down this road, just 1007 more years to go and we can say good bye to sin, we will be around it when it happens during the millennium, it will not be prevalent though.
