1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Is it possible that we are living right now in the time of the parable of the Ten Virgins?

Although I know we are not Jewish we cannot deny that the fulfillment of the first four feasts' were significant for us in a different way, and it looks like all signs are pointing to an RH rapture, so if it is on RH it would also stand to reason that the month of Elul would hold a special significance for us this year..

The fact that this month was the month of the virgin/bride,as well as a time of preparation and awakening , I find this very interesting in light of the parable of the ten virgins.
Could it be that Jesus was looking to the month of Elul when he told the parable of the ten virgins?,they were awakened, and trimmed their wicks and filled their lamps(preparation) just before the time of the rapture where Jesus is offically declared King of Kings and Lord of Lords by us in the kingdom

It is a period in which the king would come down into the field and draw near those who are in his kingdom.
because on Rosh Hashana the people of his kingdom would be going up to the kingdom where he would once again be declared king on the anniversary of his coronation, king's were crowned on RH.

It is a month of divine mercy and forgiveness
The shofar is blown every day except for the eve of Rosh Hashana.
The blowing is done for the purposes of awakening, repentance, and preparation
It is the month of the bride.

For the month of Elul, whose astral sign is the sign of betulah ("virgin"), is the month of the bride.

The Acronym
The month of Elul is a time of special closeness between the Divine Groom and His bride Israel. This is alluded to by the fact that, in Hebrew, the first letters of the verse "I am to my beloved and my beloved is to me" (ani ledodi v'dodi li) spell the word Elul.

"My beloved is to me, and I am to him" (Song of Songs 2:16). In another, she says, "I am to my beloved, and my beloved is to me" (ibid. 6:3).

Each day (excepting Shabbat), a ram's horn (called a shofar) is blown after the morning services. It's a wake-up call to spiritually prepare for Rosh Hashanah.

Each day of the month of Elul (except for Shabbat and the last day of Elul), we sound the shofar (ram's horn) as a call to repentance

Elul, the last month of the Jewish year, is a time to review the past and look at where you've come in life. It's a preparation for the upcoming "Days of Awe" – Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur

The origins of Elul as a month of special Divine grace and mercy go back to the time of Moses, in the year 2448 from creation (1313 BCE)--the first year after the Jewish people went out of Egypt......Ever since, the month of Elul serves as the "month of Divine mercy and forgiveness

The king is in the field," they say, meaning that the G‑dly spark within you is much more accessible, as long as you search for it.
G‑d’s will is that His Presence be revealed “in the field”;

Before a king enters his city, its inhabitants go out to greet him and receive him in the field.

Throughout the year, we emphasize the importance of carrying out our service of G‑d in the field with the intent that this should lead to the revelation of the King’s Presence. In Elul, which marks the culmination of this service — and the preparation for the coming year — our efforts are rewarded by the perceptible revelation of the King’s Presence.

Re: Is it possible that we are living right now in the time of the parable of the Ten Virgins?

Thanks Linda,

It is possible as a matter of fact, we are living in these times mentioned in scripture.

Jesus is coming anytime now, all signs are pointing to the tribulation and Jacob's (Israel's) troubles, therefore, our redemption is at hand.

Bride of Christ will soon ascend to meet her Bridegroom in the clouds!

Good post thanks for sharing your thoughts on it.

Blessings in Christ,

Valerie
