I do not know if anything may occur around this date. Depending on your time zone, it could be August 15 or 16. Since we are getting nearer to that date, I just want to bring this to your attention again. Keep watching, everybody!!

Ran the model on Comet Honda and the next date it intersects earth's orbit is January 31 2017 or it's closest approach again, is around that date.

This thing was discovered in 1948 by the way according to the same link you provided...

Honda's approach: The 2011 return is exceptional, as the comet will pass 0.06 AU from Earth on August 15. That's almost 5.5 million miles, the closest pass of any comet since 1770 if I have read right. Coincidentally, it's orbit intersects with Elenin's in late October- around 10/28.
