As God's plan for mankind, and specifically our nation plays out, there is resistance. I have no doubt that God is sovreign. He knows every standing up and every sitting down. He has allowed our nation to slowly deteriorate into what we now have; a runaway train of liberal, socialist government, massive military-industrial complex, the new religion of environmentalism, etc...

Unfortunately, thunderbolt, I fear you're right. However, I applaud the stand that the Tea Party has taken, and I applaud Governor Perry for the stand he has taken, too. Despite the accusations being made of him, he's not calling on us to pray to Mary or the saints, nor is he inviting Moslems to pray to Allah, Hindus to their gods, etc. He's inviting people to pray to the God of the Bible, to ask Him for mercy and forgiveness for our nation. Just the fact that the militant atheists have tried to get the courts to stop him tells me that he's doing something right, or they wouldn't be fighting him. Even though it is, as you say, too little and too late, I believe that God will bless these people for the stand they have taken for righteousness. The Tea Party has done some good up to this point: but for the opposition they've helped provide, chances are, Obama would have become our nation's dictator long ago.

Thunderbolt and Kathy, agree with you both. The Tea Party and those who are praying are doing the right thing but is it enough to tip the scales back to normal? Looks like it is pretty late in the game and very scary times frankly. Thankful that God has given us the "Peace that passes understanding" and that we can come under His wings and be protected until we leave. (Hope that is right away or soon after right away!)

This is a very sad situation but very true! I agree with all of you. Thunderbolt, you nailed your subject title perfectly "Too little too late", anyone can see that...now! I wish their eyes were opened to the truth much sooner, perhaps things could have turned out different for America! This is where our faith and trust in God kicks into overdrive. For where can we run to but to the Lord!!!
