It seems the "debt crisis" was used well by the ursuper in chief to further stip away our freedoms, gut Congress and put us on the fasttrack to dictatorship. The speed with which things are happening now makes my head spin. The Land of the Free is about to be a faint, distant memory and I can only hope and pray that we are with Jesus soon. I am so sickened by what I am seeing. Never thought I would see these things happening or be bumping up so close against the edges of the tribulation before the rapture. Thought we would be gone before the new world order took over.

Valerie your post is right on. It is high time to wake up and rise from sleeping. TODAY is the DAY OF SALVATION. Anyone who is not sure of where they will spend eternity should make certain it is decided TODAY. This just shows how very close we are to the trib, the enforced economic system with the RFID chip, and the unmasking of the son of perdition, antichrist, the seed of satan.

After watching this video and seeing what a huge leap forward toward dictatorship has been taken almost overnight I was in tears. Then the Lord reminded me of what He had me read this morning before I left for work. It was Psalm 2 about evil men conspiring to cast off any restraints from God and do as they please. God reminded me that He is laughing at them and that pulled me out of the ditch. If He can laugh I suppose we should laugh with Him. The evil ones of this world and the underworld are on a very short leash and lease - their time is almost up. They will have only a short rein of terror and then terror will be their inheritance forever. Talk about reaping what you sow!

they will convince people that Jesus and God are a myth and we each are God (like in Eden) and people are good and the earth responds to people's goodness or badness (good weather or bad weather),

Watching the nonstop commentaries on television about the debt-ceiling debate only reinforces the reality that most people – including many perceived conservatives – still don't get it. If they did, they would not allow themselves to be diverted by a political circus.

It amazes me how the vast majority of conservatives – both in and outside of the media –still take Barack Obama seriously and believe he is desperately trying to save the U.S. from economic disaster. Don't get me wrong. Barack Obama wants to do what is right for America, but his vision of "right" is wealth redistribution on a massive scale carried out by an all-powerful federal government.

As Obama continues to toy with Republicans over raising the debt ceiling, he is well aware that the continuation of his policies will destroy the U.S. economy beyond repair. I believe his strategy from the outset has been to follow the Saul Alinsky model: Win the presidency through a semi-legitimate election, then tighten your grip over everything and everybody, move swiftly to create economic chaos, and use the chaos you've created to establish a dictatorship.

Now don't go giving Obama too much credit for originality. He's really just a slick and clever copycat. Getting elected and then using your powers to eliminate all competition is an old trick used by power-hungry thugs throughout history.

Of all the dictators over the past hundred years, I believe Obama's rise to power mirrors that of Adolf Hitler's more than anyone else. I know, I know … I can practically hear readers chuckling. Enslaved people throughout history have a propensity for chuckling – until they wake up one morning and find themselves in chains. So, by all means, feel free to chuckle – but do hear me out.

Though most people don't realize it, Hitler was legitimately chosen to be chancellor of Germany in 1933 by President Paul von Hindenburg. At his swearing-in ceremony, Hitler faithfully repeated the oath of office: "I will employ my strength for the welfare of the German people, protect the Constitution and laws of the German people, conscientiously discharge the duties imposed on me, and conduct my affairs of office impartially and with justice to everyone."

Nice words … similar to those uttered by Obama when being sworn into office. Hitler was a charming, eloquent speaker who carried on incessantly about change. (Sound familiar?) Then, once elected, he moved quickly to establish a dictatorship – accomplishing that seemingly impossible feat in 52 days. Obama moved swiftly as well, but opposing forces in America made it impractical to establish a quick dictatorship.

The upstart Nazi Party (which was the commonly used name for the National Socialist German Workers' Party … repeat, Socialist) staged a slobbering love affair between Hitler and the German people. (Sound familiar?) When Hitler spoke for the first time as chancellor, it was said that "he was greeted with an outpouring of worshipful adulation unlike anything ever seen before in Germany." (Sound familiar?)

In "The Road to Serfdom," F.A. Hayek explained the way countries travel the road from democracy to dictatorship:

It is important to remember that, for some time before 1933, Germany had reached a stage in which it had, in effect, had to be governed dictatorially. … Hitler did not have to destroy democracy; he merely took advantage of the decay of democracy and at the critical moment obtained the support of many to whom, though they detested Hitler, he yet seemed the only man strong enough to get things done.
Under the Articles of Confederation, the central government of America was very weak – which was a good thing. It was true then, and it's true now: You can have a strong government and a weak people, or a strong people and a weak government – but you cannot have both. Today, we have a draconian, out-of-control government and a very weak people.

Yesterday was a very sad day in American history.
I didn't think I'd ever see the Congress essentially gutted either. I think I'd rather see the US default, seriously, than lose representation. It is law now though, so it cannot be withdrawn lightly. I don't think we will be here long enough to see the Supreme Court throw this out. Not a sound about it from the governors of the states or almost anyone. I don't agree with all of what Ron Paul says, but at least he brought this up.

All I want is Christ's kingdom. Come back Lord.

Total government control equals tyranny. We are seeing it come to pass and it will get much worse.

The USA is the last domino to fall, socially, economically, and militarily to usher in the NWO.

Watch events in Israel as they relate to the US and the world in general. As the UN or the US force a return to 1967 border lines, expect catastrophic events, ie, earthquake(s), volcanoes, etc. . .

Thankfully we know 3 things for sure, God is sovreign, the Bible is true, and Jesus is coming again! very soon I hope and pray.

Like all of you, I am still stunned by the speed with which this "coup" was carried out and the total silence of the media and every congressiional rep. It is the biggest single attack on our freedom in the history of the Republic and not a word. God knows and will deal with the antichrist spirit driving this thing. That is one certainty that we can bank on for sure.

In reply to a post on another forum, I posted the following, a new thought for me!!,

I thought about the rider with the white horse differently just now, after reading your post. Maybe nothing, but please scratch your ears and imagine this... My husband has had bows so I've been around them. Scott, a rider with a bow can be coercive, even without arrows because its an intimidation thing, show of force, the person watching says "where are your arrows?" "what kind, are they broadheads?". My husband says he would be looking for the riders body language to try to read him if he didn't see arrows on his belt. Its the element of show and uncertainty involved, inspiring dread, and those watching not wanting to bet against the "house" you see that could get the rider what he wants.

A rider with a bow, even though they have no arrows showing can conquer even without a public treaty if that rider gets cooperation as a result of the show. Get it? Conquering without arrows (look at yesterdays coup with the council of 13) as an example. So if another rider is coming that is THE 1st horseman, just think that this person doesn't even have to have a written, formal agreement to conquer, although that may in fact happen. Powerful looking, speed, intimidation.

He is given a crown, imo, speedily because of the intimidation factor or people just wanting to be on his side. White horses are attractive.
