1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

I normally don't trust Snopes but they verify the Concept asTtrue

Just a heads up for everyone regarding the latest in Visa fraud. Royal Bank received this Communication about the newest Scam. This is happening in Southern Alberta right now and moving.

This one is pretty slick since they provide YOU with all the Information, except the one piece they want..

NOTE, the Callers do not ask for your Card Number; they already have it.
This information is worth reading. By understanding how the VISA and MasterCard telephone Credit Card Scam works, you'll be better prepared to protect yourself. One of our Employees was called on Wednesday from VISA and I was called on Thursday from MasterCard.

SCAM WORKS LIKE THIS:

Person calling says...."This is (Name), and I'm calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA. My Badge Number is 12460, Your Card has been flagged for an Unusual Purchase Pattern, and I'm calling to verify. This would be on your VISA Card which was issued by (Name Of Bank). Did you purchase an Anti-Telemarketing Device for $497.99 from a Marketing Company based in Arizona?" When you say"'No", the Caller continues with, "Then we will be issuing a Credit to your Account. This is a Company we have been watching and the charges range from $297 to $497, just under the $500
Purchase Pattern that Flags most Cards.

Before your next Statement, the Credit will be sent to (gives you your address), is that correct?" You say "Yes".

The Caller continues...."I will be starting a Fraud Investigation. If you have any questions, you should call the 1- 800 Number Listed on the back of your Card (1-800-VISA) and ask for Security. You will need to refer to this Control Number. The Caller then gives you a 6 Digit Number. "Do you need me to read it again?"

Here's the IMPORTANT Part on how the Scam works:

The Caller then says, "I need to Verify you are in possession of your Card". He'll ask you to turn your Card over and look for some Numbers." There are 7 Numbers. The First 4 are part of your Card Number. The last 3 are the Security Numbers that Verify you are the Possessor of the Card. These are the Numbers you sometimes use to make Internet Purchases to prove you have the Card.

The Caller will ask you to read the last 3 Numbers to him. After you tell the Caller the 3 Numbers, he'll say, "That is Correct, I just needed to Verify that the Card has not been Lost or Stolen, and that you still have your Card. Do you have any other Questions?'

After you say No, the Caller then Thanks You and states, "Don't hesitate

to Call Back", if you do and Hang Up, you actually say very little and

they never ask for or tell you the Card Number.

The REAL VISA Security Department told us it was a Scam and in the last 15 minutes a New Purchase of $497.99 was charged to our Card. We made a Real Fraud Report and closed the VISA Account.

VISA is Reissuing us a New Number. What the Scammers want is the 3-Digit PIN
Number on the back of the Card. Don't give it to them. Instead, tell them you'll call VISA or MasterCard directly for Verification of their Conversation.

The real VISA told us that they will never ask for anything on the Card as they already know the Information since they issued the Card.

If you give the Scammers your 3 Digit PIN Number, you think you're receiving a Credit,
however, by the time you get your Statement you'll see Charges for Purchases you didn't make and by then it's almost too late and / or more difficult to actually File a Fraud Report.

What makes this more Remarkable is that I got a call from a "Jason Richardson of MasterCard" with a Word-For-Word Repeat of the VISA Scam. This time I didn't let him finish. I hung up! We filed a Police Report, as instructed by VISA. The Police said they are taking several of these Reports daily. .

Re: Don't Fall for these Scams!!!!

Other scams are, from someone you don't know or whom never met, and they stated that someone made you a beneficiary of their estate. Another one is you won, a lottery in the UK, or other lotteries. Another one someone is dying of cancer, and they trust you and want you to distrbute their fortunate to the less fortunate, trust you as executor of their will....there are some many out there, it makes my head spin!!! I get at least 1 to 2 daily, sometimes a whole slew of them comes in at once.

These people are trying to get your money, they have no intention of giving you one red cent. They want all your information, so that they could put their dasterdly deeds in motion, and hook you in. When you get them, delete, delete, and delete. When people stop buying into these fraudulant scams, then there will be a lot less of them trying. I believe there will always be scammers out there, and the sad part is so many people have lost their life savings to them.

So beware of wolves in sheep clothing!

I'm so tired of getting these! The worst one yet was using God to their advantage, it made my stomach turn, knowing they would use God to make their criminal intentions are others!!! What a wicked and evil world we live in!!!

Come Quickly Lord Jesus!

Re: Don't Fall for these Scams!!!!

Val,
I get a lot of those scam emails stating that I'm owed millions of dollars as a beneficiary or the winner of some foreign lottery. It seems that the number of these scams have increased dramatically. It goes to prove the scriptures are true concerning the type of people living in the last days. Keep looking up!

Re: Don't Fall for these Scams!!!!

I think I better get this back up to the top once again.
Yesterday I received a letter for an inheritance scam, from Spain. I know for a fact that many here most likely have been targeted as well.

I browsed through the internet and found a Canadian site, with a lot of good information.

Please be very careful, there are crooks out their waiting to separate you from your hard earned money!

I also received another one on the phone, that they found a virus on my computer...(I have no virus) and the wanted access to my computer to check it out....NO WAY...I HUNG UP...!

Here's the url to the website, please take a few minutes and check it out it may save you hundreds or thousands of dollars, and many worried and sleepless nights. Your grandparents, parents, children, might be affected...educate yourselves and save yourself and your families a lot of heartache!
