1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Pentecost is the beginning of the wheat harvest in Israel fullfilled in Acts-2.

I found it interesting that many of the following prophecies were
fulfilled during what the Rabbi’s refer to as the “Three Weeks” from
the 17th of Tammuz until the 9th of Av. That is when the destruction
of both temples in Jerusalem occured. I know the summer fruit harvest
was associated with Tu B’Av the 15th of Av, and many of the prophecies
were fulfilled prior to that date. What is interesting is the number
of prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled i.e. Dan 2:34, Luke 21:29,
Luke 3:17, that use the same terms as the prophecies that were fulfilled.
It’s really quite amazing if you give some thought to it.

I live in farmland, so practically speaking I look out my window and
they are harvesting wheat right now. They no longer use a fan and floor,
they use combines. There are also vineyards on the hillside ripening
for harvest. So when is the end of the wheat harvest? Well no specific
date, when the last bushel of wheat is brought in, perhaps the end of
July likely as not by mid-August, also known as Tu B’Av.

He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in
harvest is a son that causeth shame. Prov 10:5

Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah:
I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the
shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen. Isaiah 16:9

The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. Jer 8:20

O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy
plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the
spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage. Jer 48:32

Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken
to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing
floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for
them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and
filled the whole earth. Dan 2:34

Thus hath the Lord GOD showed unto me: and behold a basket of summer
fruit. And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of
summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my
people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more. And the
songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord
GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast
them forth with silence. Amos 8:1

Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as
the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my
soul desired the firstripe fruit. The good man is perished out of
the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait
for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net. Micah 7:1

Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth,
ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that
the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Luke 21:29

Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his threshing
floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he
will burn with fire unquenchable. Luke 3:17

Thank you Michael, the Apocalypse will start this month of July, 2011
and the Rapture may be in Pentecost at the end of this month.

"Why Rapture Will Probably Be On Pentecost"

LINK

Dear Doves,

The following article entitled, The Pentecostal Rapture of the
Church of Jesus Christ, by Jack W. Langford (2007), is the best
of all the references I have read pertaining to the timing of
the rapture. I regret it not having been available earlier in
my walk as a Christian, since it is clearly based on Scriptural
truth from the types given in both the O.T. and N.T., i.e., the
written Word of God as received from the Holy Spirit by the prophets,
and the Living Word of God, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

The article clearly shows how God Himself indicates why the
rapture of the Church will probably happen on Pentecost. I
recommend this article to everyone watching for the rapture
and the Millennial reign of Christ.

LINK

Pentecost is unique amid the three important Feasts of God (Passover,
Pentecost, Tabernacles) since it is not at all connected to the
historical events in the life of Israel as are Passover and Tabernacles.
It is a mystery Feast designated by the number 50, i.e., seven weeks
(49 days) plus one day, after the Feast of First Fruits. The three
Feasts stand above the Holy Days and Special Offerings of the other
days mentioned in Ex. 23. The three were Feasts for God and of
paramount importance to Him.

During First Fruits the sheaves of new grain were offered up to
God. At Pentecost, two loaves made from the same ripe grain offered
at First Fruits is presented to God. The true parenthetical nature
and meaning of Pentecost was a mystery to the Hebrew prophets, to be
revealed to Paul (Col. 1:24-27). Pentecost has to do with the Church,
which was born on Pentecost, and can be shown in the reference given
above to terminate the Church’s time on earth also, i.e., the rapture.

Paul describes Christ’s death and resurrection as the type for the
rapture in 1 Cor. 15:23 “But every man in his own order; Christ the
firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.” There
are six reasons in the above article to consider as to why the Feast
of Pentecost applies to the Church Age:

1. it stands parenthetically between Passover and Tabernacles,
just like the Church,
2. it is not related to any historical event in Jewish history,
3. it is named for a time, rather than an event,
4. it is a mystery in Jewish literature,
5. it relates to the giving of the Law on the 50th day at Sinai,
6. it relates to book of Ruth and salvation for Gentiles
(Eph. 2:11-13, Ruth 2:20)

The above brief outline does not do justice to the excellent article
at the above link. I plead and beg everyone who wants to truly
understand why the rapture will probably happen on Pentecost to
carefully read the article at the above link. Read the article
slowly allowing the information to sink in, because, in my humble
opinion, it presents truths that many, including many Christian
ministers, have missed entirely.

------------

The other date associated with the rapture, i.e., the Feast of Trumpets
is obviously addressed to Israel and will probably mark the time of
Christ’s second coming to earth at the Mount of Olives. It is described
by the phrase that only the Jews associated with that feast, i.e., a
time that no one can know, etc., It was meant to be understood by Jews
familiar with the idiom, and therefore meant for Israel, not the Church.

With love,

YBIC,
Robert

"To Robert Belanger - Pentecost and events in Jewish history"

In response to: LINK

Dear Robert,

Thanks for referencing the article. I will certainly read it as soon
as I can.

With regard to the six reasons you presented, I agree with most of
them, perhaps except with reason # 2 (which states that “Pentecost
is not related to any historical
event in Jewish history” .

Your own list includes reason # 5, which says that the Law was
received by the Hebrew people on the 50th day at Sinai.

Through the Exodus event God entered into a conditional legal
covenant with national Israel at Sinai, based on outward obedience
to external law codes. It was there that He gave them his Law and
espoused them as His own peculiar covenant people.

I believe that this certainly is a highly historical date in the
Jewish history. Besides, here we have the espousing theme again
(not only in the Book of Ruth, where a gentile bride was espoused
to a Jewish kinsman redeemer after the barley and wheat harvest,
i.e., Pentecost).

In the Old Testament, the imagery of marriage was a symbol for the
law of Moses and covenant with Israel. God espoused (betrothed)
Israel to himself in the exodus from Egypt.

"I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine
espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a
land that was not sown" (Jer. 2:2).

God "married" Israel when he entered into a covenant with her:

"Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy
time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee,
and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee and entered
into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou
becamest mine" (Ezek. 16: .

So we have one more reason to strengthen the belief that Pentecost
is the best candidate for the pretrib rapture of the Church.

For those who haven’t been reading the posts on Five Doves, we’re
talking about the correct season for the Feast of Pentecost, which
we have reasons to believe that takes place between the 28th of Tammuz
and the 1st of Av. (sometime between July 30th and / Aug. 1st, in the
case of 2011). I’m not saying that anything will happen this year
because I don’t know the year. For more reference about this date
issue, please see the Creation Calendar website to understand why
Pentecost can’t happen in the 3rd Hebrew month.

Yesterday I listened to one of Mr. Chitwood’s MP3 and I heard
something very interesting he said: Ruth (a type of the Church,
a gentile bride) after cleaning herself, went to the threshing
floor before the redemption process started. The redemption of
Elimelech’s land (Naomi’s husband) and Malon’s and Chilion’s
started after Ruth presented herself to the feet of Boaz. No
conversations with the elders or the other kinsman redeemer
took place before that scene.

Likewise, the redemption process in the Book of Revelation starts
when the First Seal of the scroll is opened (from Chapter 5 on),
when the Church isn’t mentioned anymore, but only those who become
the Tribulation Saints.

Blessings from YSIC,

Eliane

Re: "Pentecost, end of July" (+ 2 more Five Doves posts)!!!

I remember Ola posted on FiveDoves of the correct day of Pentecost this year being July 31.

Who knows, he might be correct...

On July 31, 2011, the sun and venus are in constellation cancer. Cancer signifies the redeemed possessions of Christ.

This also happens to be the 3rd and last day of the Oslo Revival in Norway by Dr David Owuor.

Interesting, though not sure if Rapture will be on this day...

Thanks for sharing, Calvin. I enjoyed your posts!!
