I read this article earlier today, and saw the video. It made my blood boil that something like this is happening in the US. It's just another sign of the times we are in, and the soon emergence of a police state. So much for 1st amendment rights to free speech!

That is hard to watch and realize the police did not catch themselves

but they have been "militarized" as I heard recently, mostly hiring people out of the military,

at least it is out in the open, hopefully the Mayer will follow the rules the citizen was pointing out he had not done so earlier,

what a mess, we seem to be in chaos all around, literally and spiritually

The first thing that came to my mind when I read the article was the little town of Oakland, TN, where my brother lives. My brother was on the police force there for 5 or 6 years. There was corruption among some in the department, and the police chief resigned because of criminal charges brought against him. They had a heated mayoral election, in which the incumbent barely won. As it turned out, the mayor promoted my brother to police chief, and my brother worked hard to clean up the department. Unfortunately, the mayoral election results were challenged by one of the mayoral candidates, and the town had to have the election again. The mayoral candidate who challenged the results won the election this time. Not long after he took office, he basically fired my brother for no good reason, and hired another police chief the same day. The new police chief had criminal charges pending against him from his prior police chief job in a neighboring city. It's pretty sad that little towns like Oakland have so much animosity and in-fighting going on.
