1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Shared Faith Service at the National Cathedral

Well, they went through with this apostasy called Shared Faith yesterday at the National Cathedral, and in dozens of other churches in the US. This article confirms that it did take place. 1 Timothy 4:1 is being fulfilled before our very eyes.

Re: Shared Faith Service at the National Cathedral

Thanks Kevin, for the update.

Sad day indeed!

I can only imagine Jesus watching and listening to this apostasy in the making!

All I can add is Jesus come take us home, I've seen more than enough and I'm tired of the evil that abounds everywhere, even in Christian Chruchs.

Time to leave!

Valerie

Re: Shared Faith Service at the National Cathedral

I am SOOOOO thankful that I'm blessed to be a member of a church with a pastor who stands firmly on God's Word, no matter what. He will never read from the Koran during a worship service--only from the Bible!

Re: Shared Faith Service at the National Cathedral

If it wasn't such a serious issue and if it wasn't the truth, it almost sounds like the beginning of a joke. There was an Imam, a Priest, a Rabbi, and a Minister who all went to the National Cathedral to pray together. The Imam wanted to pray to Allah, the Priest wanted to pray to Mary, the Rabbi wanted to pray to Yahweh, and the Minister wanted to pray "in Jesus name". Amongst all of the confusion of who was praying to whom, they forgot what they had come together to pray about.
