Another email received from a prayer partner about the outbreak this week of violence around Belfast, Ireland. I have deleted names for privacy. PLEASE PRAY against these demonic spirits of violence and destruction that are breaking out around the world.

Dear friends pray for our friends in Northern Ireland.

_____ & _____two key leadersin Northern Ireland. Many of you have seen the news reports from Belfast regarding a renewed level of volatility between the Catholics and Protestants. Their church is near the violence.

The situation appears to be more critical than the media is portraying. Pray for their safety and for the peace of Christ to govern over the land of Northern Ireland. As you can read below, they are requesting our prayers at this time. The first is the most recent, and the two below that are from earlier today.



Wednesday Night (most recent report) .
Hi ______, could you get some prayer going for us. There has been rioting in the area of our church for two nights now. It has been very bad and a few people have been shot. We have around 300 masked men outside the church right now, in the protestant side and the same again from the catholic side. We are here at the church as the Lord told us to keep the church open for the women and children who have been put out of their homes, due to petrol bombs and pipe bombs, etc. being thrown over the "peace" wall. There is a lot of tension in the air . the older men are trying to keep the riot from really kicking off. They are taunting each other right now. This time last night it really started. Madness. We need protection as we are here in the church and protection for the church. The noise outside right now is horrendous and fear is almost tangible. We have had masked men come into the church asking for tea/coffee -- it's crazy! But we are getting good opportunities to witness which is good. There are 6 of us here. We would appreciate prayers.

Report from earlier this evening (several hours earlier) .
Looks like it's starting again tonight. Masked men and youths gathering outside church. We have told the "community worker" the church is open again to bring women and children in. Please pray for our protection and for the protection of the church. Pray that the church will not be taken over by the lawless for their use. We have taken all our cars out of the area for safety. It's just ridiculous! The Catholics are throwing petrol bombs and pipe bombs and fireworks etc into the street beside the church that's why the people have to get out if their houses. Then the Protestants are throwing bricks, petrol bombs etc back ! Madness. Will keep u posted. Please also Pray no one is shot or killed tonight.

Report from this afternoon ..
We are fine, my phone battery was low last night. Got to bed about 3 but left them rioting. The world news probably plays it down but they said this morning that it was the worst violence in a decade. Streets fairly well cleaned up this morning. Although shop windows in etc. We had a prayer meeting this morning and we are heading out now on a prayer walk then tonight at 7pm we have called another prayer meeting. Will then send most of the folks home and just a few will stay to worship and pray. Word is they are bussing guys in from all over Northern Ireland tonight. So need to pray against that.
