1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

My purpose for writing this summary as I reviewed many different articles and books regarding the subject of Pentecost is to show readers that the rapture of the Church could happen right around this time frame without setting a date.I think we need to be ready at any moment for the rapture but look at the facts of Pentecost. I hope that I can mention facts that have not been dealt with regarding this particular feast day and our possible departure to heaven. Perhaps I can take a principle that has already been discussed and go one step deeper and shed some new light on this subject. I am not saying the rapture will take place in the week of Pentecost because more than likely I do not have all the factors in front of me; however, I would like to explore some truths about this particular feast and festival day. On the other hand I am not saying our Blessed hope will not take place right around this time frame.

(1) I might as well start with the issue that is a little defensive to people that look into this subject." But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no nor the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36. It is my personal opinion that nobody knows the day or the hour of the rapture. Let me just say how I feel about this issue. I would not look for an exact date. In fact I think we should be ready at any moment for the rapture because there is so much we don't even know. I do believe Jesus comes across with a clear point in Luke chapter 12 that we should be ready at all times for the rapture. Luke 12:35-40. I am writing this article because there is more to the subject of Pentecost than meets the eye. There is something very biblically distinct about this feast/festival day. Did you know that Shavuot (Pentecost) was viewed upon as a floating date? When God constructed this it was the only festival where the date could not be fixed. This feast day drifted back and forth( Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday).I heard but I am not sure that after 70 a.d Sivan 6 officially became the fixed date for Pentecost (Shavuot). If the feast day was changed or fixed after 70 a.d.can we really say Sivan 6 is the correct date? All I am doing is asking a question.

(2) Some people refer to Pentecost as the feast day for dispensational change.

(1) Innocence (Creation).
(2) Conscience (The Fall).
(3) Human government (The Flood).
(4) Promise (Tower of Babel).
(5) Law (Exodus).
(6) Church age (When the Holy Spirit was given to the Church in Acts chapter 2).
(7) Kingdom age (The rapture of the Church and the following events).

Biblical history attests to the fact that dispensation number 3 (human government) changed on Shavuot which is found in Genesis chapter 8. It seems as if dispensation number 5 changed on Pentecost (Law) which is found in Exodus chapter 19. Dispensation number 6 (age of grace) changed on Pentecost which is found in Acts chapter 2. Although the dispensation of Promise (Towel of Babel) does not give a date, Genesis 11:7 says, "Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." We know the age of grace started with Pentecost. "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4. Here we see that the dispensation of Promise had one thing in common with the dispensation of Grace. That would be unknown tongues speaking at the same time.I think it is pretty clear that Promise ( Tower of Babel ) also changed on Pentecost. We see a pattern of dispensational changes taking place on Pentecost. It is possible that the first two dispensations (Innocence and Conscience) changed in a 24 hour time frame on Shavuot (Pentecost) but not very probable. This probably happened on Rosh Hashanah based on how the calender was set up by God.The dispensation that we are living in now ends with the rapture of the Church. This age of grace might change in the Pentecost area. History tends to repeat itself.

(3) If the Holy Spirit was given to the Church on Pentecost (Acts chapter 2) then it is possible that the Holy Spirit will be removed on Pentecost (2nd Thes. 2:7). This verse says," For the mystery of inequity doth already work: only He who now letteth will let, until He be taken out of the way."

(4) There is a tradition that some Jewish people stay up all night and petition God for a miracle on Pentecost. They literally look for the sky to open up for a split second but they never know when this will happen.Their belief is, in that moment the Holy Spirit gives them divine power. This ritual has tones of the rapture in what they do on Pentecost. Notice "When" they are doing and what they are doing.

(5) There is an extra Adar month in 2008 and 2011. This still places Pentecost probably around the beginning of the June area. I phrased that last statement very loose because I don't exactly know when Pentecost is going to occur. Most weddings take place in June. Once again if you feel the rapture will take place on Pentecost of this year I would not look for an exact day as much as the general area.

(6) On Firstfruits notice that the new wheat of the barley harvest was waved before the Lord but there was no leaven in the bread. This represents Jesus Christ rising from the dead in all of His sinless resurrection power. Two loaves of wheat bread with leaven are waved on Pentecost. I believe they represent the dead in Christ and the living being raptured (1st Thes.4: 16-18) but understand that the baking process killed the leaven (no sin) in the wheat loaves. To represent the other position some people believe that the two loaves of wheat bread represent both Jew and Gentile being joined together as one in Jesus Christ. When Christians are raptured we will be in a sinless state before God. This is another clue that the rapture may happen on or around Pentecost.

(7) Pentecost means 50. Fifty is associated with the Holy Spirit, Jubilee and liberty. Some Jewish scholars won't even attach a meaning to this number. From Firstfruits to Pentecost there are 50 days. This can be found in Leviticus 23:15-17. This Jubilee and liberty sounds like Christians being released at the rapture. What better number in the Bible to describe this joy.

(8) Some Jewish experts believe the barley harvest is from Passover to Pentecost. Some end time Bible prophecy experts that understand this harvest see this as a type of our dispensation of grace. This particular harvest (barley) ends with Pentecost. The age of grace will end once the rapture of the Church takes place. If this is the case then there is a connection between Pentecost and the rapture of the Church. I know there is some conjecture about point number 8 but this is what some people believe regarding this subject so I thought I would include this in my outline. I don't think there should be because only the first ripe barley was ready on Firstfruits. From Firstfruits to Pentecost there is more barley to become ripe. Of course I will talk about wheat and Pentecost in other outline points. I am not an authority on this subject but this is what some Jewish experts believe.

(9) Two Rams horns were given to Abraham when God provided this animal after his obedience with Isaac. There is only one heavenly trumpet mentioned in the Old Testament and that was sounded during the law probably with the left horn of the Ram on Shavuot (Pentecost). When the Apostle Paul spoke of the "Last Trump" in 1st Cor. 15:51-52 he may have been referring to the second Ram's horn (the right horn) to call His children home at the rapture. Remember if this is true the left horn was blown on Shavuot (Pentecost). Will the right horn be blown on the rapture? This is just a thought. I am certainly not dogmatic on this issue. If this is true notice the two Ram's horns and the two different Pentecost time frames might come together. What I am trying to say is if the left horn was blown on Pentecost then it would stand to reason that the right horn will also be blown on Pentecost. Will this event be the rapture?

(10) Jewish synagogues love the story of Ruth. It is the most popular, especially on Pentecost. Often times there is a strong teaching that the Messiah will arrive on this date. The rapture is pictured in the book of Ruth. When Ruth was on the threshing floor and laid down at the feet of Boaz this represented the rapture. This whole scenario took place on Shavuot (Pentecost).

(11) When Ruth married Boaz one could make a pretty good case that she converted over to Judaism. Once again the dispensation of law started on Shavuot (Pentecost). Grace (Pentecost). Ruth lying at the feet of Boaz (Pentecost). Could it be that law, grace and the rapture/resurrection will come together on Pentecost? There could be a reunion.

(12) Many Jewish scholars believe that King David was born and died on Pentecost. If this is true God was making a statement. I cannot be sure of this but David seemed to be a type of the Church. David was in Ruth's bloodline. If we went from Ruth to David we are in essence starting and ending with Pentecost.

(13) Many Jewish scholars believe that when Israel was the bride of Jehovah Passover was the courtship of Israel but Shavuot (Pentecost) was the actual marriage. Truths or patterns start from a Jewish origin. This seems to be the way it is with Jesus Christ and His bride from Passover to Pentecost. Passover starts the barley harvest because the first ripe barley is ready on this day but the 50 day count starts with Firstfruits and ends on Pentecost. It is interesting that the Jewish scholars had insight on this subject.

(14) " Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory." Eph. 1:14. Verse 13 says,"The earnest of our salvation" is the Holy Spirit. It seems to me that when we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior the Holy Spirit came into our hearts to reside. It is clear to me that in a manner of speaking the Holy Spirit is our engagement ring. Our wedding is after the rapture of the Church. Weddings seem to take place on Shavuot (Pentecost).

(15) Flavius Josephus once said that a few years before 70 a.d. Priests were following procedure for the temple and they heard a quaking, a noise and a multitude. This unknown said, "Let us remove hense." This happened on Pentecost. "Let us remove hense" sounds like the rapture.

(16) Why is there so much talk about Pentecost this year in 2011? The Pentecost area seems to be the most passionate time for end time prophecy web sites regarding the rapture. Rosh Hashanah is also spoken of many times. Only time will tell.

(17) There are 7 feast days and Pentecost is the forth. Jesus Christ is always represented by the 4th candlestick. The middle gives light and understanding to the first 3 and the last 3. At the rapture of the Church we will have understanding. It is a time when we will see the Light of the world who is Jesus Christ face to face.

(18) There are 3 Jewish festivals but Pentecost is right in the middle. This speaks of division. People may not want to hear this but the rapture is division. The saved in Jesus Christ will go up and the unsaved will be left behind. In both cases Pentecost is right in the middle (the feasts and the festivals).

(19) Passover is the beginning of the barley harvest but Firstfruits is a type of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Pentecost is the end of the barley harvest ( a type of resurrection and rapture of the New Testament Believers). Can we take this point to a higher level?" But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits: afterward they that are Christ's at His coming." 1st Cor.15 :23. The word "Order" intrigues me. Some of the interpretations are interesting. One of the most popular is the Christians that did more for Jesus Christ will be first and the Christians that did less will not be as high when we go up in the rapture. What if the Apostle Paul knew not only the fulfillments of the feast days but also the "Order" in how this barley harvest was going to be fulfilled? What is after Firstfruits? Pentecost! The Apostle Paul knew that the new wheat being waved on Firstfruits represented the resurrection of Jesus Christ. "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many." Matthew 27:52-53. Do you see what I am trying to observe? The Apostle Paul seemed to know that Firstfruits was already fulfilled in the first part of the barley harvest.Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day (Firstfruits) and fulfilled Matthew 27:52-53 by becoming the firstfruits of them that slept. The reason why I say that the Apostle Paul knew this knowledge was because he said he understood what happened."But now is Christ risen from the dead, and became the Firstfruits of them that slept." 1st Cor.15:20.Of course I just quoted the verses in Matthew but if you have to read this small portion of Scripture again I would strongly advise this because you will see how the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Firstfruits fulfilled the FIRST part of the resurrection in the barley harvest. When Paul used the word "Order" he may have been referring to the feast day after Firstfruits which is Pentecost. Remember the Apostle Paul was born and raised in knowing and living the feast days all the way through to the end. He was required to excel in this area and have a very strong understanding of every little detail regarding Jewish feast and festival days. I think this is a fair question. Was the Apostle Paul speaking of a Pentecost rapture? It is just a question. I am not attempting to answer the question but I think that this is something we should think about. For more understanding on what I am trying to say read point number 6 and compare it to point number 19. Am I just seeing things or is that what the Apostle Paul was trying to portray?

(20) The one overwhelming tone of Pentecost seems to be a symbol of marriage or a joining together of two into one. This describes the rapture in a perfect way.

There are obviously more points than these 20. When is the true Pentecost? The Jewish calendar may not be as accurate as many people feel it is with the present dates that now exist but on the other hand it might be perfect for all I know. I think we are on pretty safe ground to say that Pentecost is sometime in the beginning to the middle of the June area since there is an extra Adar month this year in 2011. I believe the beginning event is the rapture. Is our blessed hope (rapture) going to happen around Pentecost? Only time will tell. Our departure is near. Drawing close to Jesus Christ and getting busy for Him is the answer.

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

Great Post!!

Last year I was looking to Pentecost because it seems so parallel to the rapture.

I wanted to add also that based on something I read last year that Enoch represents the Church as well.

Enoch was raptured like the Church will be.

I read (I don't know if this is verifiable or not) that Jewish tradition holds that Enoch was (like King David) born on Pentecost (or what would have been Pentecost even though it was before the actual Feast was instituted)

and that.....it is considered a tremendous honor and blessing from God to die on the same date you are born.

And...that Enoch was not only born on Pentecost but raptured on his birthday (Pentecost)

Exciting times we are in indeed.

Ready to be with our King and our Lord Jesus!

See you all there!

If anyone can verify what I have stated about Enoch or add to it please do!!

Or if you know it to be wrong information, I would appreciate knowing that too!!

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

John, you are correct about Enoch. Here is a passage from chapter 68 of The Secrets Of Enoch that confirms Enoch's birthday and rapture day as Sivan 6, which we know as Pentecost.

"Chapter 68

Conclusion
1Enoch was born on the sixth day of the month Tsivan, and lived three hundred and sixty-five years.
2He was taken up to heaven on the first day of the month Tsivan and remained in heaven sixty days.
3He wrote all these signs of all creation, which the Lord created, and wrote three hundred and sixty-six books, and handed them over to his sons and remained on earth thirty days, and was again taken up to heaven on the sixth day of the month Tsivan, on the very day and hour when he was born."

I'm not saying Pentecost is the day of the rapture at all though. We looked at this day last year too as a possibility, but it's best to watch and be ready everyday for our redemption. Keep looking up!

Kevin

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

Excellent post Bob, thanks so much!

John, apparently it's true, Enoch was born and Raptured on Pentecost. Therefore, the Church was born on Pentecost, and a good possibility it could be Raptured on Pentecost.

Because of the time zones around the world, we may not know the "exact day or hour", but we surely know it is near even at the door.

Whatever day the Lord chooses, is fine with me.
Today would be great as well...however, the Lord has the last word on the day and hour!

Hope to see you all very soon at the Rapture!

Maranatha!

Blessings in Christ,

Valerie

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

"Fair Use for Information & Discussion Purposes"

Pentecost And The Rapture
By Jack Kelly

Let me begin by saying that I don't believe the Rapture must necessarily fall on any Jewish Holy Day because I believe that the Rapture is a number specific event, not a date specific one. From my studies I have concluded that the Rapture is not connected to any other end times event, nor is it "scheduled" to take place on a given day, and certainly not on a Jewish Feast Day, which have so far been fulfilled in a manner significant to Israel, and which are easily identifiable in advance.

The key to the Rapture's occurrence is in Romans 11:25 where Paul used what I think were two carefully selected phrases in writing, "Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of Gentiles has come in." The first phrase is "full number". It was a nautical term that described the number of soldiers and sailors that had to be contracted and on board before a ship could set sail. As soon as the full number was accounted for the ship could leave the harbor, but not before. The last few crew members were often obtained in suspicious ways, so the ship set sail the minute all were on board. In effect, no one knew the exact day or hour of departure, and the ship often stole away in the middle of the night, before the most recently “contracted” crew members woke up from their drunken stupor to discover what had been done to them.

The other phrase is "has come in." It was another nautical term that meant "to arrive at its destination". You've probably heard someone say, "I'm waiting for my ship to come in" meaning he's waiting for his

fortune to arrive at its destination, in this case his bank account. It's a play on words that came from this term.

When I put it all together, I think that Paul was telling us that the Rapture is a number specific event not a date specific one, and that's why no one will know the day or hour. There is apparently a "full

number" of members in the Church and when the full number has arrived at its destination, heaven, then the Lord will turn again to Israel, their blinders will come off, and He'll fulfill the last seven years of Jewish history, Daniel's 70th Week.

That being said, since no one knows the full number, no one can guess the day and hour of the Church's departure. But as soon as the full number of born again believers is reached the Church will set sail for it's destination no matter what day or hour it happens to be. Then the scheduled End Times events can begin to happen, because they're all geared toward accomplishing 2 things for God. One is disciplining Israel and the other is completely destroying the unbelieving world (Jer. 30:11) and the Church has no part in either.

But since Pentecost is celebrated by much of the Western church this weekend and since I get a lot of questions about the Rapture occurring on Pentecost, here's why if it was scheduled for a Jewish feast day, Pentecost would be the most likely.

What's Pentecost?
Pentecost comes in the early summer (May-June). It's the only Holy Day between the 3 Spring Feasts (Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits) which were all fulfilled in the 1st Coming, and the 3 in the Fall (Rosh Hashanna, Yom Kippur, and Tabernacles) which will all be fulfilled in the 2nd Coming. Its Hebrew name is Shavuot. Pentecost is a Greek word that means "50 days" since it comes 50 days from the Sabbath after Passover. The Feast of First Fruits (Resurrection Morning) is celebrated on the day following the first Sabbath after Passover and Pentecost on the day after the Sabbath seven weeks later, (Lev. 23:15-16) giving rise to its nickname "Feast of Weeks." Since the Jewish Sabbath is Saturday, both these Holy days are Sundays, although Pentecost has become a 2 day event.

Jews celebrate Pentecost (I'll just use its Greek name to avoid any more confusion than necessary) as the day Moses received the Law on Mt. Sinai in the wilderness and the nation Israel was born. (Exodus 19-20) Christians celebrate it as the day the Holy Spirit fell on the Disciples in Jerusalem and the Church was born (Acts 2). If you agree with my view that the parables of Matthew 13 describe the church on Earth and that the parable of the yeast predicts there will be sin in the church, you'll be interested in the fact that unlike all the other Jewish Feasts that call for unleavened bread, Pentecost requires bread baked with yeast (Lev. 23:17). Pentecost also began the annual wheat harvest, perhaps pointing to another of Matthew's Kingdom parables, the Wheat and the Tares.

The Pentecost ceremonies reveal a subtle link to the coming church. In synagogues, the Book of Ruth is read on Pentecost. The story of Ruth has been called "The Romance of Redemption" where-in Naomi, a Jewish woman from Bethlehem loses land and position and is forced into exile in a foreign country where her husband soon passes away leaving her penniless and alone. She decides to return to Bethlehem and is accompanied by Ruth, a gentile woman who has sworn never to leave her. Ruth is a Moabite who had married one of Naomi's sons who also died, making her Naomi's daughter-in-law and, like her, a destitute widow.

Once back in Bethlehem Naomi's relative, a prominent Jewish man named Boaz, falls in love with Ruth and marries her, in the process redeeming Naomi's land and position according to the law. (Lev 25:25 & Deut. 25:5-6). The modeling here is dramatic, with Naomi in the role of Israel, destitute and alone; Ruth as the Church, the gentile bride; Boaz as the Kinsman Redeemer (Messiah) and the story a prediction of the relationship between the three of them. On His way to redeeming Israel, the Kinsman Redeemer takes a gentile bride, saving both from destitution and restoring Israel's land. The identification of the Church with Pentecost began in the prophecies of Ruth.

By the way, Boaz was the son of Rahab, the supposed harlot from the Book of Joshua, and 3 generations later his great-grandson David became King of Israel. Rahab and Ruth both show up in the Genealogy of the Lord Jesus (Matt. 1:5), and one of the pillars at the entrance to the Temple was named after Boaz. There's a tradition that the shepherds of Bethlehem, who were the first to be informed of the Lord's birth, were tending their sheep in fields that once belonged to Boaz and Ruth.

When Is Your Birthday?
But there's more. Another tradition holds that Enoch, one of the patriarchs from Genesis 5, was born on the day later to be known as Pentecost. Enoch's name means "teaching" a primary function of the Church and so many scholars see him as a "type" of the church as well. Genesis 5:21-23 indicates that Enoch was very close to God and was actually taken live (raptured) into Heaven some time before the Great Flood. Pre-Trib scholars see this event as hinting of a yet future disappearance of the Church just before the Great Tribulation, especially since the Lord said that the day of His coming would be like the days of Noah. In the Days of Noah the unbelieving world was destroyed in the judgment, a believing remnant was preserved through the judgment and Enoch disappeared before the judgment. If these conditions repeat themselves as the Lord indicated, then preceding the 2nd Coming, the unbelieving world will again be destroyed in the judgment, a believing remnant of Israel will be preserved through the judgment, and the church will disappear sometime before the judgment.

These same traditions also hold that Enoch disappeared from Earth on his birthday. So here's a model in Genesis of a man identified with the church being born and raptured on the day that would become Pentecost, the day the church was also born. And that's why of all the Jewish feasts, Pentecost is the most likely Rapture Day

All this of course is merely an accumulation of circumstantial evidence. The Rapture is a secret event, and as such it's exact timing is known only to God. And if, as I believe, it will happen as soon as the full number has come in, then it would be impossible for anyone on Earth to know the day or the hour in advance.

Soon And Very Soon
One day soon now, all who are in Christ, having heard and believed the Word of Truth, the Gospel of our salvation, thereby receiving the mark of the promised Holy Spirit, will suddenly disappear from the face of the Earth. Included among them will be all children and those mentally incapable of making informed choices. An unknown number of instantaneous deliveries will temporarily leave the world without a single pregnant woman at the same time. In one instant we will have been going about our daily routines and in the next we'll be standing in the presence of our Redeemer, our sins forgiven and forgotten, and all our imperfections gone. Joining us will be all the faithful dead, reunited with their perfected bodies and restored to eternal physical life. Together we will begin the most incredible journey of exploration and realization ever dreamed of.

Neither we, nor the unbelieving world, will have received any advance warning of the timing for this event; it will have come totally by surprise. Maybe it will happen on Pentecost, maybe not. But one thing is certain, when it does happen, none us will care one whit whether we had predicted it's timing accurately. We will only express in unimaginable joy our gratitude for being there.

For it is by grace you have been saved through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephe. 2:8-9) As it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him – but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. (1 Cor. 2:9-10). You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah. 05-10-08

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

Great Post Bob,

Here's some information by Chuck Missler

Enoch Traditions

It is interesting that there is a rabbinical tradition that Enoch was born on the 6th of Sivan. Enoch is an extremely interesting mystery in the Old Testament. (The first prophecy by a prophet in the Bible is a prophecy of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ,7 uttered by Enoch before the flood of Noah!)

Another tradition about Enoch is that he was translated ("raptured?") on his birthday, the 6th of Sivan.

There were three groups of people facing the judgement of the flood of Noah:

1.those that perished in the flood;
2.those that were preserved through the flood (in the Ark);
3.those that were removed prior to the judgement of the flood.
It is interesting that Enoch might be a foreshadowing of a removal prior to judgement, in contrast to Noah and his family who were protected through it.

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

I like what Jack Kelley has to say on many issues, but I do differ with him about the Rapture only happening when a certain number of people have been saved. How could the rapture be dependent on a certain number of believers being reached, since that event must happen before the trib begins? You realize that less and less are becoming believers now, and so many have hardened their hearts toward God recently. I believe God has a certain day set aside for the rapture to happen, no matter how many believers there are. God is precise when it comes to timing, and I don't believe he is tied down to a certain number of people becoming part of the bride of Christ. See you all soon in the air!

Kevin

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

I too believe that God has a certain day set aside for the rapture to happen. I also believe in an election by grace(Jesus Christ) where there is a "full complement" of believers to be saved and complete the Bride of Christ, made up of both Jew and Gentile believers during the Church Age[Pentecost to Rapture/Resurrection(future Pentecost?)]. I also don`t believe God is tied down by man`s decision but will be determined by God`s decision. God the Father is able to determine when that last believer comes into the body of Christ by His own call.
He can call and save any number of last believers to complete the Church on the last day(rapture day) if He so chooses. It`s His call, so to speak.

Following are some supporting verses(kjv):

John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

John 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

And the Bride and the Spirit say Come!

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

I never knew that about Enoch. He lived 365 years old which is a gentile number. All of this would have to be very very --- What is the word I am looking for? Maybe I should let you find the word. Compel ---- Wow!

Re: Twenty little known facts about Pentecost

Harry,

You're absolutely right on the money as they say!

It is the Father's call, and yes He does know how many will be saved and when to make that call as well.

Waiting on God the Father to make that call and tell Jesus to go and get the Father's Children, the Son's Bride!

Maranatha!

Blessings in Christ,

Valerie

Bob it certainly is a gentile number....365 days in a year, except for a leap year! Therefore, I believe we should go by our calendar, not the Jewish calendar.

What a Birthday gift Enoch received to be Raptured on the day of his birth, perhaps we too will be Raptured close or there abouts Enoch's Birthday as well...just a thought..not predicting it is so!

Blessings in Christ,

Valerie
