1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

View of planets - May 11, 2011

From Earth Sky Tonight:

The best views of the great May 2011 planetary parade can
be seen before sunrise right now. However, you’ll need an
unobstructed horizon in the direction of sunrise to watch the
early morning attraction. All four visible morning planets –
Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter – bunch up low in the east
and in the glow of morning twilight.

AND…

AT THE SAME TIME, on the night of May 10-11, the moon will
be moving towards the star, Regulus, which sits at the handle
of the sickle of Leo

As the moon lights up the sky this evening, everyone will
see the moon fairly close to Regulus, the brightest star in
the constellation Leo. Tomorrow, before sunrise, the planets
Venus and Jupiter will be in conjunction.

Here is a picture of Regulus and Venus back on July 9, 2010:

Thanks Calvin, wonderful posts as always!

Regina wrote: "in my imagination, they remind me of an arrow pointing down"! Regina this reminds me, that Jesus, the Lion of Judah, is coming down to meet His Bride and in my imagination, it's pointing in the sky the very spot He will appear!

Blessings to you both!

Valerie
