John Bolton: Loading of Nuke Fuel Into Iran Plant Means Aug. 21 Deadline for Israeli Attack

News that Russia will load nuclear fuel rods into an Iranian reactor has touched off a countdown to a point of no return, a deadline by which Israel would have to launch an attack on Iran's Bushehr reactor before it becomes effectively "immune" to any assault, says former Bush administration U.N. Ambassador John R. Bolton.

Once the fuel rods are loaded, Bolton told Fox News on Friday afternoon, "it makes it essentially immune from attack by Israel. Because once the rods are in the reactor an attack on the reactor risks spreading radiation in the air, and perhaps into the water of the Persian Gulf."

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin declared in March that Russia would start the Bushehr reactor this summer. But the announcement from a spokesman for Russia's state atomic agency to Reuters Friday sent international diplomats scrambling to head off a crisis.

The story immediately became front-page news in Israel, which has laid precise plans to carry out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities while going along with President Obama's plans to use international sanctions and diplomatic persuasion to convince Iran's clerics not to go nuclear.

Bolton made it clear that it is widely assumed that any Israeli attack on the Bushehr reactor must take place before the reactor is loaded with fuel rods.

"If they're going to do it that's the window that they have," Bolton declared. "Otherwise as I said before, once the rods are in the reactor, if you attack the reactor you're going to open it up and radiation will escape at least into the atmosphere and possibly into the waters of the Persian Gulf.

"So most people think that neither Israel nor the United States, come to that, would attack the reactor after it's been fueled."

Bolton cited the 1981 Israeli attack on Saddam Hussein's Osirak reactor outside Baghdad and the September 2007 Israeli attack on a North Korean reactor being built in Syria. Both of those strikes came before fuel rods were loaded into those reactors.

"So if it's going to happen in Bushehr it has to happen before the fuel rods go in," Bolton said.

The conversation that touched off the de facto deadline for Israeli military action was a telephone conversation with wire services involving Sergei Novikov, a spokesman for Rosatom, the Russian Energy State Nuclear Corp.

Novikov said: "The fuel will be loaded on Aug 21. This is the start of the physical launch” of the reactor.

"From that moment the Bushehr plant will be officially considered a nuclear-energy installation," Novikov said, adding that the head of Rosatom, Sergei Kiriyenko, will visit Bushehr Aug. 21 to conduct a ceremony for the event.
According to Bolton, once the reactor is operational, it is only a matter of time before it begins producing plutonium that could be used in a nuclear weapon.

"And in the normal operation of this reactor, in just a fairly short period of time, you could get substantial amounts of plutonium to use as nuclear weapons," Bolton told Fox.

Russia, which is operating under a $1 billion contract with Iran, has spent more than a decade building the reactor. If Russia moves forward with its plan to fuel the reactor, it could be seen as a major setback to the Obama administration's strategy of engaging Russian leaders in order to win their cooperation.

"The U.S. urged them not to send the Iranian's fuel rods," Bolton said. "They did that. The Obama administration has urged them not to insert the fuel rods in the reactors, but as they've just announced that will begin next week. What that does over time is help Iran get another route to nuclear weapons through the plutonium they could reprocess out of the spent fuel rods."

The developments mean Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu soon may face a stark choice: Attack the Bushehr reactor in the next 8 days, or allow it to become operational despite the certainty it would greatly enhance Iran's ability to create nuclear weapons.

Russian leaders have said the Bushehr reactor project is being closely monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN's nuclear watchdog group. According to Iran's ISNA news agency, IAEA inspectors will be on hand to observe the fuel-rod loading process that is now scheduled to begin Aug. 21.

According to Russian officials, Iran has promised in writing to send all spent fuel rods from Bushehr back to Russia for reprocessing, to ensure they cannot be used for nuclear weapons.


Bolton said the reactor has been "a hole" in American foreign policy for over a decade.

The failure to demand it be shut down began in the Bush years, he said, and continues with the Obama administration "under what I believe is the mistaken theory that Iran is entitled to the peaceful use of nuclear energy."

"I don't think Iran is entitled to that, or I don't think we ought to allow it to happen, because they're manifestly violating any number of obligations under the non-proliferation treaty not to seek nuclear weapons. But this has been a hole in American policy for some number of years, and Iran and Russia are obviously exploiting it," Bolton said.

Russia’s move would put Iran "in a much better position overall," he said, adding, "I think this is a very delicate point, as I say, it closes off to the Israelis one possible target for pre-emptive military action.

U.N. sanctions against Iran, he said, "have not had and will not have any material effect on Iran's push to have deliverable nuclear weapons."

Over the last few years, there have been several people who have seen, heard, etc., the number 21. I recall David Daughtrey being one of them, in relation to his vision.

On November 4, 2003, at 1950 Universal Time (it was 2:50 in the afternoon here in CST and 10:50 p.m in Jerusalem), the largest solar flare ever recorded erupted from the sun. (http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=05&month=11&year=2003)

It was the 11th of 11 x-flares and saturated their measuring instruments for 11 minutes. It was impossible to measure accurately, but estimates put it between x-28 and x-48. Had it been earth-directed, it would have fried anyone in an unprotected location. As it was, it happened JUST, literally JUST before slipping around the back side of the sun. Much earlier, it would literally have killed possibly millions of people, and any later, we would have missed it. It happened exactly on the 10th of Cheshvan, the day that Noah was warned that the rain would start in seven days.

That was seven years ago, and it HAD to have been a "sign in the sun." There is no way it could be anything other than that. Danial Matson has recently written on the significance of this November being the possible start of the Tribulation. The flare was in the sun, therefore, it makes sense to measure the time from it by the sun - meaning "look for something this November."

However, it also makes sense to measure time from it biblically. When you add 7 360 day years to that date, it falls exactly on the 21st of Tishri, which is the seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles. Here in the U.S., that is Tuesday, September 28, 2010. There is the day the Bible calls the "last day" or the "Great day of the Feast."

John 7:37 On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." 39By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (NIV)
There is an 8th day of the Feast, and some people get confused and think that is what is being called "the last day." However, that day is separate, and if you study it carefully, it is clear that it is actually the 7th day that is the "last day." There is huge significance to this, because it is the last day that people live in their booths. For the 8th day, they are back in their real homes. So, it is on the 7th day that the moving occurs. That seventh day is the 21st of Tishri.

I think the number 21 could also be refering to the 21st day of the feast of Tabernacles
which is the 7th day or the LAST DAY of the feast which is about september 27/28 2010.

Iran's first nuclear reactor at BushehrThe sudden announcement in Moscow and Tehran on Aug. 11 that Russia is set to activate Iran's first nuclear power reactor by loading the fuel on Aug. 21 has caused a major flap in Israel in view of the military aspects of the plant. debkafile's military sources report that only last week, high Israeli officials asked Washington for clarifications on the latest intelligence information that Moscow had decided to finally activate the Bushehr reactor after innumerable delays.

The White House called the Kremlin and was assured that President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minster Vladimir Putin stood by their pledge to President Barack Obama that the Russian-built nuclear plant would not go on line this year.

This pledge now proves worthless.Indeed, Rostratom director Sergei Kiryenko will attend the Bushehr launching ceremony.

Jerusalem is also worried by the news that Russia has stationed S-300 anti-missile batteries in Abkhazia on the Black Sea because it ties in with the imminent activation of the Bushehr reactor. It is taken as a signal that Israel's air route to Iran is hereby closed and Moscow will do its utmost to thwart an Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.
John Bolton, former US ambassador to the United Nations and adviser to the Bush administration, defined Moscow's date for loading nuclear fuel rods into the Iranian reactor as touching off a point of no return. Talking to Fox News Friday, Aug. 11, he said Aug. 21 is a deadline "by which Israel would have to launch an attack on Iran's Bushehr reactor before it becomes effectively 'immune' to assault."
Once they are loaded, he warned, "an attack risks spreading radiation in the air and perhaps in the water of the Persian Gulf."
Bolton gave Israel no more than a week to destroy Iran's nuclear program. "If they're going to do it, that's all the window they have," he said, noting that Israel attacked the Iraqi Osirak reactor in 1981 and the nuclear plant Syria was building in 2007, before the fuel rods were in place.

The head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi said Friday, Aug. 13, "The process of loading fresh fuel into the reactor building would begin on Aug. 21. Then the reactor will be officially classified as a nuclear energy installation. The testing phase will be complete and the physical launch begin."

According to debkafile's military sources, the Bushehr reactor billed as a peaceful project is in fact integral to Iran's military program because the fuel rods powering it can also produce weapons-grade plutonium. Attached to the main plant too are a number of smaller facilities connected to the weapons program.

An earlier report in the Atlantic magazine estimated that the chances of a military strike against Iran in the next 12 months are "better than 50%." It is the result of extensive research for the magazine by Middle East expert Jeffrey Goldberg. After interviewing some 40 current and past Israeli decision makers and as many American and Arab officials, Goldberg expects Israel to launch an attack with the next few months, possibly supported by the US and UK.
But that was before the rescheduled Bushehr launching. Bolton has since made a point of narrowing the window of months to days.

Dear Doves,
There are several options concerning a day 21 this month. One will be day 121 since the crisis started in the Gulf on 4-20. This will be a Scriptural reckoning of a day from 8-16 sundown to 8-17 sundown. If you play with the number 121 you can derive 1111. The other option is the day 21 of August. According to the link provided, Russia plans to load nuclear fuel rods into a reactor in Iran on that date. Technically, the new moon phase lasts about a week. The moon was at 0% of fullness as of 8-9 and 10. Add a week and we are around 8-16 or 17. When air force of a country attacks, they prefer to do so during the new moon phase. The lesser the light reflected off the moon, the harder it is to see the planes wings back lit, to shoot down.A third option is the date of Elul 21. If Elul 1 was 8-11. then Elul 21 will be 8-31 to 9-1.

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration said Thursday it is near to securing an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians to resume direct peace talks. Some US officials said an announcement could be imminent.

The State Department said an agreement was "very, very close" but that details were still being worked out. An announcement could come as early as Friday or Saturday, said administration officials familiar with the matter. They spoke on condition of anonymity due to the delicacy of the ongoing diplomacy.

"We think we are very, very close to a decision by the parties to enter into direct negotiations," State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told reporters. "We think we're well positioned to get there."


To that end, he said, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had called Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad late Wednesday and spoken Thursday with Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, the special representative of the "Quartet" of Mideast peacemakers — the US, the UN, the European Union and Russia.

Officials said tentative plans call for the Quartet and the US to release separate statements saying the stalled talks will resume early next month in either the US or Egypt. The US statement, expected to be issued in Clinton's name, and the Quartet statement would serve as invitations for the talks, they said.

The Israelis and Palestinians would then accept, the officials said.

Crowley declined comment on the specific arrangements but suggested multiple statements were in the works.

"As part of the Quartet we are prepared to demonstrate our support for the parties as they move towards this decision," he said. "But we, the United States, have always played a special role within this effort, and we will be prepared to assist the parties going forward in moving towards a successful negotiation. So we can do both."

Details of the timing and location of talks remained unclear on Thursday. The US officials said they were still shooting for around Sept. 1 in either Washington, Cairo or the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm-el-Sheik.

Biblical – mentions of the color blue

Blue (tekheleth, a color from the cerulean mussel): This word was applied only to fabrics dyed with a special blue dye obtained from a shellfish. See DYE. shesh in one passage of the King James Version is translated "blue" (Es 1:6). It is properly translated in the Revised Version (British and American) "white cloth." "Blueness of a wound" (Pr 20:30) is correctly rendered in the Revised Version (British and American) "stripes that wound." Blue is applied to the fringes, veil, vestments, embroideries, etc., in the description of the ark and tabernacle (Ex 25 ff; Nu 4:6 f; 15:38); to workers in blue (2Ch 2:7,14; 3:14); to palace adornments (Es 1:6); to royal apparel (Es 8:15; Jer 10:9; Eze 23:6; 27:7,24).

The colour blue is frequently associated with the tabernacle and temple furnishings. For example:
"Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim you shall weave them." Exod 26:1
In conjunction with precious stones, the sky blue colour of sapphire represents heavenly things:

Further information Blue is also associated with the commandments of God, the importance of remembering them and also the heavenly calling of those who had been chosen by God to be His people (Numbers 15:38-40).
The ark of the covenant in the Tabernacle was covered with blue cloth representing its close association with the Word of God (Numbers 4:5-7; 11-13).
The robe of the High Priest was also blue, again symbolising the close association with God and His Word (Exodus 28:31-33).

I just wanted to point out that the peace talks are to resume on 9-2-2010 coming up next week. Remember that it says when they say peace and security SUDDEN destruction comes upon them. And sudden means instantly. Now remember as in the days of noah god gave noah a 7 day warning before entering the arc of safety. Coincidentally september 2nd is 7 days before september 9th, a possible date for the feast of trumpets, know man knoweth the day or hour. Also I think god is going to give us a 7 day warning, and perhaps it might be one of the hurricanes forming now, hurricane danielle could easily slide towards washington dc. I think sept 9th just might be the day of the rapture. Just a thought, also i saw this on jpost http://www.jpost.com/IranianThreat/News/Article.aspx?id=185978 french president is saying : French President Sarkozy says that if no agreement is reached and an isolated Teheran proffers threats, "We'll have to organize ourselves to protect states which feel threatened." This would include israel and what do ya know it's exactly what we expected before a 7 year treaty, It looks like 2010-2017 is the timeline and it looks like the time is very near.

This is just incredible, I posted this thread 3 years ago 2010. Here we are at the end of December 2013. Take a look how the number "13 & 21" are closely associated. Could this mean Rapture in 2013 and a new beginning for us on the last day, 31st?

(My Comment, isn't it odd that Rev. 20:10 above is associated with the year 2010 when I first posted this thread.)

All in God's hands people of God, let the Lord's will be done accordingly, and may we meet in that sweet by and by today, or very soon to come.

Trusting God, that His ways are always perfect, even if at times we would like things our way. He knows what is best for each and everyone of us, and He loves us, and will fulfill His promises to take us where He has prepared a place for us. Jesus is Coming, don't miss it for the world. Hopefully, today is the day the good Lord has chosen!
If not, hold on to His Promises, they will all be fulfilled in God's plan and timing!
