I am researching my Delair line and was hoping someone out there had information to share on my family.
My 3rd great grandmother was Mehitable Delair b. circa 1830 in Canborough Township, Halidimand County, Upper Canada. Her father was Boswell Delair also known as Bozzle or Basil Alair b. circa 1803. I have heard there was a fight within the family while they lived in South Cayuga and most of the family left the area going to Kansas and to other states.
Mehitable married John Collard of Niagara in 1847 and eventually ended up in Essex County after a stay in Kent County where some of their children were born just before John's Death.
I believe Boswell's father was John Delair aka.Louis Jean Baptiste Alaire born circa 1770 in Quebec.
I am very interested in finding out more about siblings and parents for him as well as any others that are connected.
