I'm desperately seeking information on my Gr-grandfather, James Jockow-DeAllaird, who is supposed to have been born in UVNS [on one record or "Pierre" VT. [on another]. There is no Pierre,VT. I've been searching for years. He died in Waterbury,VT.in abt. 1870. He had 6 children all born in Vt. The name was changed BACK to Allaird [DeAllaird]after 1860. I'm related to the founder of DALLARD women's apparel shops in Montreal. Would appreciate ANY information.
