Waiting and hoping this year will be good!! Lots of rain, but need warmer ground. I love them!! Please let me know of any findings here in Michigan City,Indiana or local area? I'm ready for the walk in the woods.
Hi- can't wait for the season myself- how warm does the ground need to be? I just started hunting last year and I went out the 1st day on april 29th of 08- I went onto a weather tracking web site and figured that by 4-29 we had had 14 days of temps of at least 50 degree days- (usually 50-70). let me know- I'm N/E of Indy. the blacks should be up around the indy area in #'s by this weekend. maybe even a few grays. ground temps need to be low 50's for blacks to start fruiting and higher 50's for grays/yellows. if you need someone to hunt with around the area shoot me an email, im usually flyin solo.
