Hi guy I am a long time hunter from Missouri and now living in south carolina, I am thinking in a few more days if the nights stay above 50 there might be some popping going on, I was wondering what trees I am looking for down here. Any assistance from my fellow hunters in the south would be greatly appreciated.
Hello. We started out morel hunting when we lived in Columbia, Mo and now live in Salisbury, NC north of Charlotte. I have found them here in low wet areas sometimes near Beech and Tulip Poplars. This is getting ready to be the prime time and think it should be a bumper crop year with all the rain we have had.
