Sorry a late reply. I think this year was a bad year. I didn't find any good trees- only a few grays each around 10 or 12 trees. I tend to have to go up north to find them?
This was my first year hunting Morels in Ohio.We have 64 wooded acres in Harrison county near Freeport Ohio. We looked every where in areas that was mentioned in books I've been reading and no luck. We've got hills creeks plenty of white oak,red oak Pines,dogwood,rotting stumps and logs. But not a sign of a morel. So was it just a bad year in Ohio or am I too early or too late.Help! :-)
