Being from North Central Indiana, I am very jealous of
all you mid- westerners finding morels. :-)
Ok New England is it time or to early ???
Was in the woods yesterday, red trilliums in bloom, no morels in sight, alot of elm in my area but also heard to look around ash and maples....locals think I am a flatlander so may be sending me on a wild goose chase :-)Any news appreciated.. Mid westerners...send them my way !!!

I haven't found any yet this year in my favorite spots, but we haven't had a lot of rain either. I don't know if the wind every day is hindering them but this is when I started finding them last year( earliest ever for me). I will be out looking for them tomorrow as its supposed to rain tonight. Wish me luck.

My son and I found 20 decent morels in about an hour on 5/24. We are finding them on the eastern side of the state in the Barnet/ WEst Barnet area where I find them every year. We will be out looking again tomorrow.
