Hi Karen, Boy! What a scare..here in Indiana, I may run across some garter snakes or maybe even a black snake, but neither is poisonous or can even really bite you. Their mouths are small. Hope you don't run into another rattler. Just a suggestion....come to north central Indiana to hunt! Just kidding of course, but becareful out there...Patty
