I went out yesterday (17th) and was pretty discouraged to only find two on a south slope I always hunt early but went over to two newly dead elms on a west slope and found several hundread small grays...most too tiny to pick. I did manage to bring around 70 home for supper!!! I'm looking forward to grabbing those little guys in a couple of days!
No doubt - I live in northwest central Iowa and it seem a little dry around her yet. I hope they are out soon - I take my girls out every spring. They are definately worth the hunt...
