Found a pound of large whites this morning. Still popping in central wisconsin. I need a little help identifying a mushroom. Grows on dead trees, has a short stem with soft white gills. Top is round, flat, white with dark brown scales. Found a spot with 20 pounds or so. I just don't know if they are edible. Information would be great.
Can you take a digital photo of it and send it to me? If so, photograph from several angles and place a quarter next to it for scale.
