We went out the weekend of 23rd and 24th and found about 500, our friend found about 750. Best year ever, then it turned cold...went the following weekend and only found a few, but they were greys. Just wondering if you are still having any luck over in western illinois since it is starting to warm back up?
The rule of thumb is that they will stop when we get 2-3 days in a row over 80 degrees. As cool as this Spring has been I think this may be one of the longest seasons I have seen. The biggest challenge will be the height of the undergrowth as we go along.
