I'm very jealous of you guys. It sounds like the states is great Morel hunting ground and that there are loads of like minded fungiphiles to enthuse with. Over here morels are few and hard to find, Morel hunters are even rarer.
Last year I found one good morel (which I ate stuffed with ham, brie and wine, mmmmm) and one tiny oddball species. I also found a patch of about fifteen old and soggy ones (hopefully this year I will get to this patch in time to harvest).
If there are any UK morel hunters who read this, please respond.
