I'm looking for morels in CO and would love some specifics. I know nobody likes to give out their secret shrooming spots, but can somebody give me an idea of just a region of CO in which morels can be found? I already know the type of foliage they are found near and to look in recently burned areas, but since I'm not a CO native I just don't know where to start.
I am under the understanding that morel season may be right now? or soon? I have been looking all around the net about morels in colorado and havent found much info. I know it has been dry but hopefully someone has some information, I am jonesin for some morels.
Its been to cold they should be on this weekend needs to be around 70 or so Look around the river beds dead tree's or old apple orchards .Will keep you posted when there on in Utah!Good luck
