Post your Morel Find Reports Here
Didn't see your post early enough to reply for last year's finds, but hopefully this will help for this year. Slice your morels lengthwise and soak about an hour in salt water, as usual. Take a cookie sheet. Place morels cut side down on the cookie sheet making sure they don't touch each other. Place cookie sheet in the freezer. When well frozen pop them off the cookie sheet with a thin spatula and place into freezer bags, or other suitable freezer container. Keep frozen until ready to cook. I've done this every year and they last me very well for just about a full year - or until the next season rolls around - unless I eat them all first. :)
I freeze about the same way, the only diffrence is I go ahead and flour the sliced, clean mushrooms, lay them on a cookie sheet (no touching each other). When frozen, put them in freezer bags. When you want some after season ends, just take some out, pop them in the frying pan (no need to thaw) and they're just like fresh!
I do it exactly the same way, but I roll mine in flour before freezing on the cookie sheets and then transferring to freezer bags (burping out all the air I can). When I want some later I just put them in the hot butter right out of the freezer. Yum!!

freeze them dry right after picking in single serving freezer bags
my wife fries all of or shrooms then lays them out on wax paper to cool then puts them in freezer bags. when we want some we just take out what we want & put them in micro wave to reheat. taste like you just picked & cooked. DELICOUS!
after cleaning-i flour/lightly fry-drain the freeze on cookie sheet-then put in ziplock-then when you want to remove only what you want and refry-yum
